When people first met her, they thought her name 'Cat' is short for her full name but that is not the case. Her real name is not Cat nor does it short for her full name. Her name is Cat because she love cats when she was a kid. She was totally smitten by them.

She had a lot of cat memorabilia and she had cats birthday cake for a few years. She only had one indoor cat and a bunch of outdoor cats. She love spending time with them. Whenever she was not in school, she love to go outside and play with them. She has a name for each one of them.

As she grew older, so does her cat family and she love each one of them. There was no such as thing as neutering or spaying back in the day. The mere mention of it is considered a taboo. As they grew larger in population, her parents can't keep up with them and eventually decided to give them away. They tried to do it without even her noticing it. They did it one by one or a couple of cats at a time. On one school holiday, she notices the cat colony shrink in size.

She screamed and cried her heart out. She told her parents that someone took away some of the cats or maybe they ran off somewhere. Her parents just nodded and told her the cats might come back or they found a new home. She felt really upset that day and cannot sleep for a few nights.

Her indoor cat died when she was 14 years old and since then she is not interested in taking care of cats except for the remaining outdoor cats. As she grew older, she is not fond of them as she used to. Eventually when the last remaining cats died, so does her interest in them. However, her name is still Cat.

Cat walk to her home after a good 5 Km run. The nice weather makes up the cloudy blue sky. She can see the different shapes and sizes. She try to guess each one of them to amuse herself. She can feel the sweat falls of her back and the cooling effect of evaporation.

She stop for a while to look at the beautiful wildflowers. She wants to pick some up and suddenly she heard a faint cry from the bushes. She listen intently to the cry before moving nearer to it. When she approaches the sound, she can see a kitten as she suspected.

She reach for the kitten and hug it. The kitten look weak and in need of medical intervention. She walks faster to her house. She grab any box that she could find and put a nice towel in it to make it more cozy. She carefully lay the kitten in the box and immediately drive to the nearest vet.
