What I think about life.

It's not always sunny

It is a Tuesday afternoon and Holly do not have any class that day. She spend her entire day sitting in her desk and organizing her boss's schedule for the week. Her boss is really busy lately with the endless requests from the clients and the marathon. She cannot phantom how her boss volunteer to run a marathon. For a busy woman like her, Holly have no idea how her boss gets her energy from and still look put together. Today her boss had a 5 AM run and she came in the office with a stunning black suit and a beautiful emerald green hijab this morning.

Holly shuffle through the papers next to her laptop and put it aside. She grab a bunch of post-it notes from her drawer and resume with her work. She do a double check on the schedule because she has no time to make any mistakes right now. Her work from school starts piling up because there are many changes that are made to the project when she missed her classes and meeting from a flu. She was really frustrated when she heard about it. There is nothing she could do about it even though she did protest about the changes. Cest le vie - such is life. Her favorite French saying whenever she has to deal with the inevitable.

She look at her brown leather vintage watch and it shows that it is 3 PM. Holly can feel her eyelids getting heavier. Thinking about she still need to work in a couple of hours and the piles of school works, she go to the office pantry to make herself a glass of iced coffee. She take a small carton of milk from the fridge while waiting for the coffee. She add in ice, the milk and the coffee in her favorite pink glass. For a moment, she just stir and stare at her coffee before the presence of a co-worker wake her up from her day dream.

Holly fix her hair in front of the mirror. Should she put her hair down or in a ponytail? She look her reflection on the mirror. She loses a lot of weight. All her clothes are too loose for her now. For example the pale yellow dress that she is wearing become  loose enough to be called a Jubah. Holly put her hair in a high ponytail with an elastic band and add a bow clip on it.

She  put on another layer of the peach color lipstick to touch up her look. She look very dainty. She grab her $20 bag that she bought at the Chatuchak market in Thailand and wait for her boyfriend to pick her up.
