What I think about life.

The office

Holly eat her lunch with her course mates that afternoon. They have to do a project together as part of their coursework. It includes 30% of their coursework. That morning they had their first group discussion together. She found herself cursing that morning because she had to wake up extra early on a Saturday morning which is usually her day to sleep in a little bit longer. She can safely say that she can finally feel her muscles. She sits for a moment on her comfortable warm bed not wanting to get up and do anything today. She stretches her body now and again while her mind tried to make the plan for the day. She has a jam packed schedule today and she was dreading it.

She opened her bedroom window and she could see the day is still dark. She really wants to crawl back into bed and sleep. She wonder why she sign up for this again. She has already an assistant job. No matter how many times Holly complain about her busy life right now, she knows she is making the right decision.

She could feel the cool morning mist on her face. She closes her eyes and breath. A few minutes later Holly switched on some music to wake her up. This method always work for her and as expected she step in the shower after a couple of songs. She got ready, grabbed a packet of oat biscuits and a Starbucks Frappuccino that she always has in the fridge for an emergency coffee. By 7 AM, she was already in campus with a couple of course mates waiting for her and a few others for their meeting.

Mia, the elected project leader, sitting next to her eating her chicken rice while scrolling through her laptop in front of her. It has been only less than hour after the meeting, Mia is already panicking. Joe lee, a Chinese guy in his 30s with a pale white skin and a very thin figure, is trying to make the atmosphere of the table more lively by cracking a joke. Holly almost choked on her food and Mia, who up until then was too busy with her laptop and food, give a girlish scream at the sight of this. The roar of laughter from their table become even louder.

After their laughter died down, Holly continues to slurp on her beef Soto; a beef noodle soup perfect for this weather. It is raining outside. That is why they are eating their lunch together or everyone in her group would probably prefer going back home. The place looks amazing with the rain drops on the lush green campus. This is one of her favorite thing about the way the campus is set up; there are a lot of trees and variety of plants surrounding it. The greenery makes the hot weather tolerable. The canteen food is also one of her favorite. It is affordable for students and it taste as good as any restaurant.

She still cannot believe she is actually doing this; she never thought she would actually continue her study and so soon. She sigh when she remembers her to do list for today. She hope she can survive the day without actually killing anyone. Holly continue enjoying her time with her new friends and just stop thinking about the long list of things to do for today. Meanwhile, Mia is still busy with her laptop.
