Burgertown

Holly sit across from her boss and fiddling between the pages of Burgertown menu awkwardly. She try to focus but she can't. She never had to spend time with Cat like this before. It is a little weird that her boss bring her here but she won't protest for a free burger.

She really want the king size burger that is supposedly enough for two people. She wonder if it's appropriate to choose that one. It is pricier than then rest, probably, the most expensive burger meal in the menu. She haven't eaten anything since yesterday. She was too busy with her assignment last night and she had to go to work in a hurry this morning. Work was really busy today. Cat has a back to back meeting with two clients and she had to do some administrative works. She swear she almost fainted in the conference room earlier.

Cat scans through the pages while humming to the background music. She flip through the menu and look at Holly quizzically. She probably wonder why Holly looks nervous. Holly give her a nervous smile and try to come up with something to make a conversation. She can't think of anything. Cat continue scanning through the menu and she does the same. Cat call the waitress a few minutes later.

When the waitress arrive, Cat order a queen size menu meal. She look at Holly expectedly. Holly froze for awhile. Her mind suddenly wandering around because she can't seem to focus. Probably from the lack of nutrients. She just smile and simply said, "the same". She actually doesn't know what she order. It just seems like the appropriate answer.

Both girls eat their meal in silence. Cat enjoy her queen double cheese beef burger. The taste of meat, cheese and mushroom sauce together goes well together. The crunchiness and freshness of the assorted vegetables balances the richness of the burger . She can see Holly is also enjoying hers as much as she does. She is grateful that Holly's previously pale face now has a tinge of color. She noticed her assistant's peculiar demeanor when she was just finishing up her meeting.

Looking at her assistant's pale face, she asked Holly if she is in need of assistance afterwards and Holly abruptly said no. She asked Holly the same question multiple time but she gave Cat the same answer. Not convinced with the answer, Cat casually asked her assistant to go out with her that afternoon. She immediately drove to the nearest restaurant instead of the clinic. When they arrived at the establishment, Holly seemed confuse with which Cat casually told her that she's hungry. With a nod, Holly follow Cat to the restaurant.

Cat reach for her French fries when her phone rings from her black classic Chanel bag. She eat the fries quickly and rummage through her bag for her phone. She look at the phone screen and it says 'Azhar'. She almost choked on her food and drink her soda quickly. She excuse herself from the table and answer her phone. She almost forgot that her date is tonight. Azhar just called to make sure if they are set for tonight. Thank goodness he is one of the smart one calling her to make sure. They set a time and place to meet.

She go back to her seat suddenly feeling full. She look at her leftover and there are still plenty left of food uneaten. There are her half-eaten burger, French fries, onion ring, side salad and some of her soda left. She look over at Holly hoping she is done eating. Holly already finished her burger, French fries and side salad. Now, she is reaching for her onion ring. Cat wait patiently
while drinking her soda. She is playing with her phone and look out the window every so often to keep herself calm.
