Love is in the air. That song fills the ballroom and Cat just sway right, left, back and forth. She attended yet another of her cousin's wedding. This time she is much more relax but a bit annoyed. Everyone keep asking her if she is alright with overtly concerned look. She is not sure if they are being sincere or they just want to make everything less awkward but still she finds it kind of annoying. She just wish everyone just pretend that everything is okay and they never actually saw/heard about the incident. Every time everyone is asking the same thing, she can feel her face is burning up.
She sing to the song under her breath to cheer herself up. Cat is in her pink 'baju kebaya' and a fashionable pink shawl on her head. The bride side of the family, her cousin's side, has to wear a matching pink silk that is chosen by the bride. She actually had to accompany her cousin for their attire which she didn't mind at all because she loves planning and helping out a wedding. This particular pink silk is a bit of the pricey side but with Cat's natural skill for haggling, they managed to buy it for half the price.
Cat continues to enjoy the song while everyone else is busy meeting and watching the bride and groom. It's almost the end of the wedding where everyone takes up the chance to take photos with the bride and groom by a professional photographer. She is glad she doesn't have to worry to queue up for a photo session because the family sides take photos with the married couple when the guests were busy eating.
She can hear her stomach growling. She didn't realize she miss her lunch. Cat walk to the nearest table still swaying to the music with a hungry stomach. There are only rice and vegetables on the table. She walks through the sea of tables until she find one she is satisfied with. It's the table in the corner of the ballroom which is perfect because she doesn't have to deal with people looking at her eating. There are white rice, the yellow Nasi minyak (rice cook with a type of oil and spices), beef rendang, Ayam masak merah(chicken in red sauce), sayur lodeh(vegetable stew in coconut milk), a variety of traditional dessert and some drinks on the table. She reach for the last plate there is on the table. After satisfied with the cluster piles of food on her plate, she sits on one of the chairs and enjoy her meal away from everyone.
She eats with the music and people laughing with joy in the background. She feels so lucky.

A guy in purple 'baju melayu' suddenly approached the table where Cat is eating. She look at the guy properly to see if he is a familiar relatives. She try to remember but none come out. She checks if the guy has a flower pin on him like all the bride and groom's family is obligated to wear. He has none. Still has plenty of food from her second serving, Cat continue munching on her food and let the guy take all the food to his heart's content.
Cat approached the table for some water and trying to make a conversation with the guy in the purple 'baju melayu'. He is cute with a dimple on both his cheeks. Apparently he is a co-worker of her cousin and he is late because he gets the morning shift that Sunday. She try to ask several questions to let the conversation flowing. The guy answer her questions with delight but obviously not interested in her. He talks while still eating his food and it's obvious he is starving. She knows this is not going to work but maybe not a waste at the same time. Maybe people wouldn't ask too much about relationships or boyfriends after seeing both of them having a conversation which to some people it equates to them dating each other.
Cat ended their conversation with a flirtatious laugh, loud enough for everyone in the ballroom to hear, which is not necessary because he was talking about how good the beef rendang is. He is right. The beef rendang is amazing.
She sits on the same chair as before and wonder if anyone saw them talking. Then, her young cousins come to the table and tell her that the bride needs her right now. Just like that, Cat leave the table and save the day.
