Holly and Emma is basking on the sun in the early autumn weather. The sun is peeking out of the fluffy white cloud and the weather is perfectly cool at Hyde Park. They sit on a picnic blanket in the park. There are assortments of food on the blanket; pizza, scones, fish and chips, pasta and different types of dessert. They went crazy on their food purchases for the picnic this morning because they plan to spend the entire day in the park after their brunch at a popular brunch spot.
Both girls really want to enjoy their time together. Holly finally has the chance to go on an European adventure. She is going to spend her first few days in the UK together with Emma before her best friend has to start her new semester. Emma is busy with her laptop trying to work while Holly is enjoying a book that she bought at an independent bookstore across the street from Emma's apartment. Holly takes some photo once in awhile - not wanting to miss the opportunity to capture the beautiful moments at the park. Beside reading and working, they spend their whole afternoon in the park talking to each other and eating. Life feels like a total bliss at that moment.
They go back to the apartment when the day is getting dark. They decided to go to the supermarket to buy some ingredients to cook for their dinner. It only takes them ten minutes to walk to the supermarket from the apartment. Holly don't mind walking in this crisp autumn weather - something she can't enjoy in her home country. They buy just enough groceries for their dinner tonight and their breakfast tomorrow. She loves spending her time here and experience what it feels like to live here even for a short while.
She look at the delicious spread that they just made. She is very proud of their accomplishments. They help themselves to the food until Emma's roommate come to the kitchen and join them from her own excursion. Emma give her a plate that just has been laying around next to her. Emma's roommate, Jen, takes the mash potato, chicken drumstick and salad on her plate. All three girls eat in silence.

After dinner, Holly went straight to bed leaving the two roommates alone. Not wanting to miss anything what England has to offer, she opened the bedroom window and look at the beautiful London sky. She breath and close her eyes for a moment to reminisce the days she spend in this country so far.
Her journey from Brunei to England was quiet an adventure. She almost missed her flight because she left her passport in her house. Her father had to grab her passport just in time before her flight depart. It only took him half the usual time to get to the airport.
Once she arrived at Heathrow airport, Emma - whom arrived a week earlier, waited for her at the gate with Jen. They rent a car for the day to pick Holly up and to drive around London. They had to encounter several misadventures involving an angry fellow driver, a parking ticket and driving on the wrong lane.
She told her father about their misadventures. He laughed and told her that part of being a traveler or a tourist is to experience those crazy adventures. He told her he experienced far worst misadventures when he was younger and remind her to just be careful. He told her that no misadventures is a lost adventure and those misadventures will become very valuable lessons in her life. She, however, conveniently forgot to mention it to her worried mother. She just didn't want her mother to booked the next flight to England just to accompany her daughter.
They also managed to go to the supermarket to stock up their pantry. That evening she had a great dinner made by her two hostesses and a really good night sleep despite the fact that they got honked by fellow drivers one too many times that day. It has been a few days Holly spend her time in England and in a couple of days she will start her Europe adventure in Paris.
Paris - the city of love. She can't wait to see what the city has got to offer.
