They spent the night in the office. Laila eating her candy and Holly watching her boss melt her stress away. Holly had to text her parents to tell them what is going on and fortunately her parents understood the situation albeit a little bit worried. Holly did suggest her boss to go home and she refuse. Holly also offer her a ride to go home and she refuse. She did her best to convince her boss to go home but with no success.
Holly put her laptop on the coffee table and go to the kitchenette. She walk speedily but carefully. Everything feels creepy. The eerie silence of the office give her goosebumps. She looked at the office front door to see if the security guards are still there and they are. The sight of the two security guards give her a sense of relief. She feels safer.
She quickly brew hot herbal tea for her and her boss. She can hear the sound of crickets and insects from outside of the building. She try to focus on brewing the tea to not let any sound scare her. She open the refrigerator door to see if there is any bottled water and she grab a couple of them once her eyes caught a sight of them.
After brewing the tea, she quickly walk to Laila's office while carrying a bunch of drinks without looking back. Once she is in the cold office, she feels safer. Her boss is there, although she do not act like she usually does, but still she is there. Her presence is enough. Offering the hot herbal tea to her boss, she take a cup of the tea and drink it without saying a word. This sight of her boss creeps her out that she wants to cry right then and there.
Instead, she sip her herbal tea very slowly to calm her nerves. A few sips and a calmer nerves later, she pick up all the chocolate and candy wrappers from the floor. The office looks much better now and the air somehow feels cleaner. Holly's parents text her every so often to check up on her and so does Laila's parents.
There they are - two girls in an empty office on a Saturday night with only silence that accompany them.
