************ It has been 3 days, and everyone was tensed and worried but the reasons were different. Atika and Mr Sharma were disturbed due to Jannat while Siddharth and Avneet due to the condition kept by Atika. Recently Avneet was standing in the kitchen making Siddharth's singing her favourite song when Atika banged inside the kitchen dragging Avneet's arm tightly making her face her.
"What do you think of yourself huh? You will take my Jannat's place and I won't take any step." Ranged Atika in anger. Avneet looked at her confused.
"What are you talking about?' Asked Avneet in confusion. As it was evening, Siddharth just entered and was about to call Avneet when he heard.
"You know we don't do marriages outside our family. Even Vaishnavi is from our family but, you are a black spot. You came destroying everything. You know what is Jannat going through and there Siddharth isn't agreeing for marrying Jannat. I warn you Avneet, if Siddharth won't marry Jannat I won't let you live in this house and if I had to point out your character for this, I will do. Mark my words." Warned Atika in a dangerous voice pointing her index finger. Avneet froze at the spot, it was like the floor slipped under her feet. Atika left glaring at her while Siddharth was still standing at the entrance with anger in his eyes. He directly went to his room and shut the door with a loud sound. Seeing the loud sound Avneet flinched in fear but then realized that it was Siddharth's time of arrival. Her eyes widened and she quickly ran upstairs. She opened the door to find Siddharth pacing in the room and his eyes caught her. She forced a smile and went near him.
"You came early today." Said Avneet unbuttoning his third button of the shirt and that's when he held her tiny hands. She looked up at him to find a stern face.
"What was aunty saying to you?" Asked Siddharth holding Avneet through her shoulders. Avneet didn't meet her eyes with him.
"S-She just came to tell me about the spices and salts. Nothing serious." Lied Avneet which Siddharth caught in no time. He shook his head in disbelief.
"Lie again lies. Why do you feel like lying to me when I, myself have heard what she has said." Ranged Siddharth which left Avneet's eyes wide open.
"Then? Why aren't you thinking about it? Consider it." Advised Avneet with a heavy voice. Siddharth again held her shoulders.
"You said to me once that Aunty's behaviour is not much bad with you. Do you call it bad? Avneet, it was worse." Said Siddharth highlighting every word when Avneet just looked at him.
"Leave it, I have tolerated much worse behaviour. This isn't even 50% of it but Siddharth please consider it my request, marry Jannat. Please!" Requested Avneet dragging Siddharth's hands in hers and making him sit with her while she also sat beside him. Siddharth went numb hearing it. He took some time to process and when he realized he failed to explain himself.
"I don't want to marry her, she is my best friend, nothing else." busted Siddharth on his wife standing up from bed. Avneet stood up on her legs capturing his hands in hers once again.
"I know your feelings for her but think about me. If. If you won't marry her, your aunty will throw me out of this home. Where will I go..? I don't have anyone in this world except you. Don't think about yourself but please think about me. Please!" begged Avneet keeping her head on their intertwined hands crying, feeling herself helpless. It was only her who knew what is she going through. She was a girl who could do anything in love. Siddharth looked at her in shock but composing himself he spoke.
"When I am with you, I love you then why are you forcing me to marry her knowing everything?" asked Siddharth with hopeful eyes that she might disagree but Avneet didn't say anything and was just staring at him blankly.
"Do you think it's easy for me to order you like this to marry her, to share you with someone else? But I'm helpless," answered Avneet in low voice, hopeless. Siddharth was just staring at her with many emotions, tears, pain was above all. Avneet suddenly started feeling dizzy and she didn't know when she fell into Siddharth's arms shocking him.
"Avneet, Avni what happened? Avneet, open your eyes." Yelled Siddharth patting her cheeks while she was laying in her lap.
**************
The doctor was checking Avneet who was lying on the bed while Siddharth was standing beside the bed lost. Her words were continuously ringing in his ears. It felt like someone is threatening him to end his love life by his own hands. Abhishek and Vaishnavi what also standing their worried. Abhishek looked at his brother who was lost. He kept his hand on his shoulder.
"Everything will be fine." Consoled Abhishek which went in vain to which Siddharth just chuckled.
"Now, nothing is going to be fine. Never!" He said blankly. Abhishek noticed him disturbed, he also know the reason but couldn't help him. Doctor turned to them as she ended her checkup.
" she fainted due to weakness and lack of sleep. Here I am giving some vitamins which she should take everyday and also proper sleep. I have given her injection for now. She will be fine till an hour." Guided the doctor. Siddharth nodded and Abhishek went to drop the doctor till door.
"If Avneet also wants me to do this then let me do it for her. If it would be anyone at her place, I would have scolded her but if she wants to end our happiness and love then what to say?" Thought Siddharth closing his eyes accepting his sacrifice, glancing at Avneet who was still unconscious. Who said lovelife is a peaceful one?
