"Kirishima, listen." Midoriya said, with a sense of urgency in his voice. Both teens had just awoken - Midoriya a few minutes before Kirishima.
"I'm only gonna say this once, because that's about the time I have left." Midoriya gasped, as his friend stared at him with watery eyes.
"I'm losing my memories, which is a part of the 'Nomufication' process. I can't even remember... argh! That thing where we fought each other! You need to try to not let this bastard turn you into a Nomu! At all costs. At the very least, cling to your memories. The ones I keep replaying in my mind aren't leaving as quickly, but, if you focus on them, it'll give you more time." Midoriya rambled, spitting out the words as quickly as he could.
It was bad. Midoriya couldn't even remember that black haired kid with the hat's name.
"Promise me that you'll explain everything to our classmates! I - I don't want them to think I was just attacking them." Midoriya whispered, tears starting to flood his eyes.
Kirishima stared at his friend as he broke down, trying to process the words that had been spoken. "A - attack them?" He rasped, his voice cracking slightly.
Midoriya nodded. "Th - they're going to use me..." Midoriya breathed, tears hitting the floor.
"Oh my gosh..." Kirishima exhaled, as he scooted closer to the smaller teen, giving as much comfort as he could, considering that his arms were chained behind his back.
That was the last memory that Midoriya had clung too, before it was erased, leaving his mind as clear as a fresh, white, clean sheet of paper.
Kirishima yelled the greenetes name when Midoriya stopped talking. When he stopped yelling, he could hear Todoroki struggling against the chains holding him back, demanding to know what happened.
"Kirishima!! What happened?!" He could hear Todoroki yell. Kirishima knew that if he were to respond, it would quickly be followed by pain, but he responded anyway, the last little bit he could do to help a friend, classmate, or partner.
"Midoriya... lost his memories!!" He cried, moving closer to Midoriya, or at least, trying to. He looked up, and growled at AFO, who had entered the room, an air of smugness following him.
The red head turned away from Midoriya, glowering at AFO with his red, puffy, tear filled eyes. "Y-your a monster..." he gasped, desperately trying to fill his lungs with air. It was clear that he was suffering from a minor panic attack.
"Perhaps." AFO smirked, "Yet here I am, monster or not, with my newest, strongest, and most valuable Nomu as of yet." He clicked his tongue as he undid Midoriya's chains. "Kurogiri, you can take him now. He's ready."
