The girls sat in the common room early in the morning because no one could sleep, while the boys played volleyball outside. "I can't believe Deku would attack us like that. He's so sweet. He even got Todoroki to use his fire during the sports festival." Ochoco commented.
The girls hung their heads. 5 of them had been knocked out due to Midoriya, and Todoroki had left them. "Even if Todoroki joined the league to help Midoriya, it still feels like he betrayed us." Yauyarozu chimed in.
"We lost Bakugo, and before that, we had a failed rescue mission, and lost Kirishima. With the way it's going, the league is picking our strongest classmates, and dragging them into the life of villainy." Tsu exclaimed.
Before Mina had the chance to speak her mind, Kendo opened their dorm door. "MONOMA IS GONE!" She yelled.
The girls lifted their heads. Kendo looked awful. Her eyes had red circles around them, her ponytail was a ball of hair, and her pajamas looked like they were dragged through mud.
"What do you mean?" Mina exclaimed, worry lacing her voice. "He's gone!" Kendo shouted again, making odd hand movements as she spoke.
"Calm down Kendo! We need you to calm down." Hagakure murmured, softly massaging the horrified teens back. "That's it. Deep breaths. Can you tell us what happened?"
Kendo inhaled, her body shaking. "I-I went t-to check on my o-old classmates," Kendo hiccuped, small sobs escaping her mouth, "a-and they w-were all f-f-freaking out. M-Monoma w-wasn't in his r-room, a-and that was w-w-were they saw h-him last. W-we're w-worried ab-about him. W-what if h-he was k-kidnapped t-t-too?"
By now, fresh tears started steaming down the normally cool, collected teens face. The rest of the girls looked at each other, horror seizing their already exhausted and sore bodies.
Momo looked at the ground, fighting against the tears that were threatening to leak from her eyes. She clenched her fist. She wouldn't cry. She had to stay strong for her classmates. But with this new news, Momo wasn't sure how much more she could take. Who would be next?
Uraraka pressed her hands firmly against her mouth, muffling her broken sobs. She shut her eyes, hoping that the world would disappear, and that she would wake up, in her bed, and realize it was all a bad dream. But if it was a dream, why did the pain hurt so much?
Mina moved to the couch, her already weak legs ready to buckle beneath her. She sat down, and clutched a piece of fabric in her hand. The fabric was one of Kirishima's white headbands. The headband turned grayish, as multiple, large, sorrowful tears were soaked up in the absorbing material. Why?
Hagakure pulled Kendo into a hug, offering words of comfort to her newest classmate. Though no one could see, tears were spilling out of Hagakure's eyes at an alarmingly fast rate. She hugged Kendo tighter, and her friend returned the gesture, as both girls stood, sobbing into each other's shoulders. When would their suffering end?
Tsu looked at the window, staring at the dark, pale-ish blue sky, not even trying to build a dam to keep her tears at bay. She didn't know how much more she could take. Sure, Monoma was a jerk, but no one should have to be taken away from their friends. A sad, pitiful croak exited Tsu's mouth, as her tears leaked from her large, glistening eyes. Where were their friends now?
Jiro gripped the side of the table, desperately trying to calm herself. She could hear all of her friends' cries, but she blocked them out. She was too busy trying not to let her sorrow get to her. How much more can we all take?
