Davina's POV
Tara clutched her head, shaking violently and screaming. The classroom erupted into chaos as everyone jumped out of their seats. The professor attempted to calm her, rubbing her back gently, but I knew it wouldn't help.

Josh and I pushed our way through the crowd of panicked classmates. Without hesitation, Josh lifted Tara into his arms, carrying her bridal style toward the door.

The professor looked at us, clearly concerned. "Where are you taking her?"

"We'll take her to the nurse," I said quickly, as we hurried out.

Instead of the nurse's office, we brought Tara into the nearest restroom. I cast a soundproofing spell to ensure no one would hear what was about to happen. Josh gently laid Tara on the floor, where she curled up, clutching her head. Her knees were drawn to her chest as she let out an ear-piercing screams.

Josh knelt beside her and made a pillow out of his thighs, carefully lifting her head and placing it there. The restroom lights flickered erratically, the chaos unnerving even me. Just as I was about to call Klaus, Tara's screams abruptly stopped.

Josh wiped the tears from her cheeks as she sat up, her face pale and confused.

"What happened?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Josh glanced at me, his worry evident. "We don't know yet, but we'll figure it out."

"I... I think I saw something. It was like a dream—no, a memory," Tara said, her voice shaky. "I was crying and screaming, and then, when I tried to remember, the pain hit me. My head started pounding."

Josh hugged her reassuringly while I pulled out my phone to make the call.

Davina's POV
[Dialing Klaus]

"Davina," Klaus answered.

"Klaus, before I tell you anything, let me just say this—you didn't think it was important to tell me that Tara is a witch?" I yelled into the phone.

"It wasn't something you needed to know," he snapped back, his tone equally sharp.

"Well, lucky for you, I already put up a sound barrier and locked the restroom door so no one could see the damn light show she caused," I shot back.

"Is she okay?" Klaus asked, his worry finally breaking through his frustration.

"She's... stable now. But she started screaming in class after hearing Damon's name during roll call. She mentioned seeing a memory but said it hurt too much to recall, and the pain caused her to scream."

The line went silent for a moment before Klaus spoke. "I'm coming."

He hung up before I could say anything else.

I returned to the restroom, where Tara was splashing her face with water. Josh handed her a paper towel.

"I just talked to Klaus," I said, leaning against the doorframe.

Tara dried her face, looking at me warily. "What did he say?"

"He's on his way. We're going to take you to the nurse so it looks like you're being properly dismissed."

Josh and I escorted Tara through the halls. I asked him to grab her bag while Tara and I headed to the nurse's office.

"Did he sound worried?" Tara asked as we walked.

"Worried? Of course he did. He hung up the moment he knew something was wrong. He's probably running every red light to get here."

Tara nodded but didn't respond.

When we arrived at the nurse's office, Josh was already waiting outside with Tara's bag. The nurse, a red-haired woman in a green T-shirt and white coat, stood from her desk and approached us.

"How can I help you?" she asked kindly.

"She's feeling sick and needs to go home. She already called her... brother," I said, earning a confused look from Tara and a chuckle from Josh.

The nurse nodded and led Tara to a cot. "Thank you for bringing her. You can leave now."

Josh and I exchanged a look, then sat in the chairs beside the cot.

"We'll just stay until her brother gets here," Josh said, grinning.

Five minutes later, the sound of fast pace walking heels filled the room as the nurse returned to her desk. Josh was chatting with Tara when the door burst open, and Klaus strode in.

Tara sat up abruptly as Klaus approached her. His eyes scanned her face, his worry palpable. He cupped her cheeks gently, his gaze locking with hers.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice low but urgent.

"I'm fine, Klaus," she reassured him softly.

Without a word, Klaus scooped Tara into his arms and turned to leave.

"Sir, you need to sign her out first," the nurse said, her tone suddenly flirtatious as she placed a hand on his arm.

Klaus pulled away, his eyes flashing gold, his fangs briefly visible. He walked out without a word, carrying Tara with him.

Josh sighed. "We'll sign for him," he told the nurse before heading to the desk.

Klaus's POV
I placed Tara gently in the car, closing the door carefully before climbing into the driver's seat. Resting my head on the steering wheel, I let out a deep sigh and glanced at her.

Tara's expression was a mix of concern and exhaustion. "You don't have to worry. I'm fine now," she said softly.

"Do you know how worried I was when I heard you were in pain?" I said, my voice strained.

"I'm fine, Klaus. Just breathe and calm down," she said with a small smile, taking my hand in hers.

She was trying to reassure me, but deep down, I couldn't shake my worry. I started the car, and we drove home in silence.

Tara's POV
When we arrived at the house, Klaus carried me upstairs bridal style, despite my protests.

By the time he set me on the bed, I was growing frustrated. He tucked me in as if I were made of glass, adding extra pillows beneath my head and legs.

"Stop it!" I finally snapped.

Klaus froze, looking at me with a mix of sadness and confusion.

"I told you I'm fine. I told you not to worry. Can you please just stop with all this over-the-top care? I don't need it!"

Klaus's expression softened, and he gave me a small, sad smile. "I'll leave you to rest, then," he said quietly, walking to the door.

"I'll be back in an hour," he added before leaving the room.

I sighed, staring at the ceiling. I knew he meant well, but sometimes, Klaus's protectiveness was overwhelming.
