Tara's POV
"Klaus," I said, my voice high-pitched with tension.

Elijah glanced at Klaus, our hands still intertwined. Klaus's face twitched as his eyes fixated on where our hands met. Elijah quickly released my hand, coughing awkwardly.

"Brother," Elijah said, smoothing his suit before walking out of the room without another glance.

Elijah's POV
As I ascended the stairs to my room, I tugged off my gray suit jacket and tossed it onto the bed. Lying back, I covered my face with my left arm, sighing deeply. I can't have these feelings for her, I thought bitterly. She's not mine.

Klaus's POV
I glared after Elijah as he passed by, my hands clenching into fists at my sides. Once he was gone, I turned my attention back to Tara.

Walking up to her, I wrapped my arms tightly around her, pulling her close. She winced slightly, her expression pinched with discomfort.

"Tara" I said firmly, looking down at her. "You're a woman. He's a man. You can't let just anyone touch you."

"Klaus," she huffed, her tone defensive. "He's not just anyone. He's your brother. And he was only helping me unzip my dress so I could change."

My jaw tightened, and my eyes glowed faintly as I cupped her cheek, forcing her to look up at me. "You are mine," I said darkly. "Don't let anyone touch you but me."

Tara's body shifted awkwardly, and a nervous smile tugged at her lips. She let out a small laugh and pushed me away playfully. "You're being ridiculous," she said, retreating behind the curtain to change.

I sat back on the couch, watching the curtain sway gently.

Tara's POV
I gulped, trying to steady my nerves. I'd never seen Klaus act so possessively before. My hands trembled slightly, and I clasped them together tightly to stop the shaking.

Peeking out from the curtain, I caught Klaus's brown eyes watching me intently.

"What are you doing? Playing peek-a-boo?" he teased with a sly smile, rising from his seat.

I forced a nervous smile and stepped out from behind the curtain. We stood face-to-face, only inches apart. Klaus gently took my hand in his.

"I was thinking," he began, his tone softening, "it's been a while since we've gone on a date. I know you want to get out of the house, so..." He trailed off, looking at me expectantly.

"That sounds great," I said, smiling warmly.

Hand in hand, we walked to his car. As I buckled my seatbelt, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Klaus has never hurt me, I reminded myself. He's been considerate since my accident. I shouldn't be afraid of him.

"So, where are we going?" I asked as Klaus started the car.

He glanced at me and smiled. "That's up to you, love. Today is your day."

My eyes widened with excitement, and I squealed softly. After a moment of thought, I grinned. "There's a new movie I've been dying to see."

Klaus smirked. "Movies it is."

At the theater, we were met with a long line at the ticket booth.

"Bloody hell," Klaus muttered under his breath.

I giggled. "Come on. The sooner we get in line, the sooner we'll be in our seats." I tugged on his arm, pulling him to the back of the line.

After what felt like forever, we reached the ticket booth.

"What movie will you both be seeing?" the blonde woman behind the counter asked, leaning forward with her chest noticeably on display.

I stepped in front of Klaus, folding my arms. "We'll be seeing Wakanda Forever," I said, my tone clipped.

The woman looked me up and down, raising an eyebrow before scoffing. "That'll be twelve dollars."

Klaus stepped around me to pay, but I stormed into the building, fuming.

Inside, as we stood in line for popcorn, Klaus turned to me, his expression concerned. "What's wrong, love?"

I groaned, refusing to answer. Does he not know? I thought, growing more frustrated. The woman at the counter had been shamelessly flirting, and Klaus had said nothing.

"Tara," Klaus said again, his voice softer.

I turned to glare at him, my jaw clenched. "Why didn't you tell her to stop flirting with you?"

Klaus chuckled, then quickly covered his mouth to stifle his laugh. "You were jealous," he said with a smirk.

I huffed, crossing my arms.

When it was our turn to order, a young man in a theater uniform greeted us. He was tall, with a lean frame and sharp features that reminded me of a K-pop star.

"Hello, cuteness. What can I get you today?" he asked with a charming smile, his eyes fixed on me.

My cheeks heated, and I smiled back, glancing at the menu above him.

Before I could reply, Klaus stepped in front of me, his hand gripping mine tightly. "She'll take extra-butter popcorn, a large Coke, and nachos," Klaus said firmly.

The young man raised an eyebrow. "I was talking to her. What are you, her boyfriend?"

"Yes," Klaus replied curtly, pulling me closer by the waist.

After paying, Klaus led me to a counter, where he set our food down. "I don't have eyes for anyone except you."

Unknown POV
"I see them," a voice said quietly. "What would you like me to do now?"
