Tara's POV
Davina and I turned around to see Kol standing there. I couldn't help but grin as I noticed the way Kol and Davina were gazing at each other. The tension was palpable.
"I'll head inside," I said, looking at Davina.
She didn't respond, her eyes still locked on Kol. I smiled to myself and walked into the spa, leaving them alone.

Davina's POV
"I heard you don't have a date to the dance," Kol said, a sly smile spreading across his face.
I stepped closer to him, narrowing my eyes. "And if I don't?"
Kol sighed, running a hand through his hair. "You're going to make me say it, aren't you?"
"Yep." I smirked.
He rolled his eyes, then straightened his posture. "I would like to take you to the dance," he said, his voice suddenly serious, his gaze intense.
My lips twitched as I tried to hide a smile. "See you tonight, then," I said before closing the door.
I leaned against it, clutching my chest as my heart raced. A wide smile spread across my face despite my efforts to calm down.
"So, you have a date," Tara said, lying on a nearby spa table with a knowing grin.
"I guess I do," I replied, unable to keep the excitement out of my voice.
⸻
Tara's POV
After the spa treatment, it was already four o'clock. Davina was escorted to a room to change, and I headed to my own.
When I opened the door, I froze. Inside was a stunning dress displayed on a rack, along with a fully equipped makeup and hair station. My jaw dropped in awe.
I was still taking it all in when the door burst open.
"We have to get you ready!" Rebekah exclaimed frantically as she ushered several people into the room.
There was the designer I'd seen before, along with three other women who all looked thrilled to be here. Rebekah shut the door behind them, clapping her hands.
"Let's get started!" she declared, her excitement contagious.
⸻
Klaus's POV
"You will stand here. And you—there," I commanded, pointing to the positions on the school map. "Guard that door with your life. If anyone other than humans gets through, I will kill you."
The men before me nodded, fear etched on their faces.
"Go and inform the others," I said curtly.
A knock interrupted my focus. Elijah strode in, his expression stormy.
"What is he doing here?" I demanded, glaring at Rebekah.
"You told me to get our brother," she said defensively.
"I didn't mean him," I snapped, clenching my jaw.
Elijah's eyes flicked to the map and then back to me. "You weren't going to tell me about this, brother?"
"I didn't need your help," I growled.
"She's my friend," Elijah countered, his voice rising. "This is a bad idea. If she gets hurt, what will you do then?"
"She won't get hurt!" I roared, slamming my hand on the table.
"You're going to need my help, whether you like it or not. I'm coming," Elijah declared before storming out and slamming the door.
Rebekah began inching toward the door herself.
"Where do you think you're going?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at her.
She froze, her hand on the doorknob, then turned with an awkward smile. "To help Tara get ready," she said quickly before blurring away.
Freya chuckled from her seat. "Don't get so worked up. At least now you'll have extra protection for Tara if things go sideways."
I huffed, stalking out of the room. It was time to get dressed.
⸻
Rebekah's POV
I typed away on my phone, making arrangements for the wedding. Ever since I was a girl, I'd dreamed of a grand, extravagant wedding. Now, with Klaus and Tara's wedding to plan, I intended to make it just as magnificent.
The sound of the door opening made me look up.
"Davina, you look stunning!" I said with a smile.
She wore a strapless gold-sequined dress that hugged her figure before flaring out just below the knees. Her hair was styled into an elegant bun, with soft curls cascading from it. Her makeup was subtle but flawless, and her matching shoes and necklace completed the look.
"Thank you," she said shyly.
Our attention was drawn to the other side of the room as one of the stylists called out, "Madam Rebekah, she's ready."
Davina and I moved closer, stepping around the makeup station to get a better look. Tara stood up and came around the table, her presence commanding attention.
"Oh my gosh, you look incredible!" Davina gasped, her eyes wide with admiration.
The stylists gathered behind Tara, their faces glowing with pride.
The dress was a deep wine-red, perfectly complementing Tara's rich brown skin. It was form-fitting, with a thigh-high slit and an ankle-length hem. Her gold heels added an elegant touch.
Her curls cascaded down her back, reaching her waist, with a subtle sheen that made them glisten. Her makeup was natural but striking, with a bold smoky eye and a deep red lip that exuded confidence and allure.
"You all did an amazing job," I told the stylists, who beamed before beginning to tidy up.
"Look at you—absolutely seductive. Klaus is going to be speechless, just like last time," I teased.
"What do you mean, 'like last time'?" Davina whispered to Tara as we headed toward the door.
I only smiled, shaking my head.
⸻
Kol's POV
Downstairs, I fiddled with my tie in frustration. The moment I saw them descending the staircase, though, I froze.
Davina looked breathtaking. Her dress shimmered in the light, and the confident way she carried herself made her even more captivating.
Straightening my posture, I smoothed my suit and smirked at her. Slowly, I approached.
"You look ravishing, darling," I said, my voice low as I gazed at her.
"Thank you," she replied, eyeing me suspiciously.
I held out my tie, pouting. "Could you help me with this?"
"I didn't hear a 'please,'" she teased, a grin tugging at her lips.
"Please, Davina Claire," I said, flashing a sly smile.
Her expression faltered for a moment. "How do you know my name?"
