Kol's POV
"I looked into you a little," I admitted, scratching my neck nervously.

"Oh really? Just a little?" Davina smirked, grabbing my tie and pulling me closer. She deftly adjusted it, looping it into place before tightening it enough to bring my face level with hers. She let go of the tie, giving my chest a light tap before turning back to the girls.

"I need you to focus," I heard Klaus's voice from behind me.

"I can focus on two things," I grinned, glancing sideways at him.

"Hmm," Klaus muttered before walking toward the parlor room. "Let's get going."

Klaus's POV
When I reached the parlor room, the girls were already seated on the couches. Tara looked up at me, her eyes lingering a little too long. She was definitely checking me out.

I strode over to her, holding out my hand. As she placed hers in mine, I kissed it and looked up into her eyes. "You look astonishing, my love."

Rebekah faked a gag, and Davina rolled her eyes.

"Thank you," Tara said with a smile.

I helped her to her feet and led her to the door. Kol entered the room, heading straight for Davina.

"We'll meet you two at the dance," Kol said, glancing at Davina.

Davina opened her mouth to respond, but I was already escorting Tara out of the room.

With our arms linked, we walked to the car. I opened her door and helped her in before settling into the driver's seat.

"I think you look quite handsome," Tara said, glancing at the radio.

"Why, thank you, my love." I gripped the wheel and glanced at her. "While we're at this dance, I need you to follow three simple rules."

"Really, Klaus?" Tara groaned.

"I'm serious," I said, my tone firm.

Tara gulped, looking at me.

"Rule one: Always stay near me. Rule two: Don't follow any strangers. And rule three: Have fun." I smiled, placing a hand on her thigh.

She covered my hand with hers. "Okay," she replied, drawing the word out slowly.

Rebekah's POV
Not long after Klaus and Tara left, Kol and Davina followed. Who would've thought those two would actually like each other?

I was heading to my car when I was suddenly pulled away in a blur. My back hit the car, and a pair of familiar lips met mine.

I kissed Marcel back until I pushed him off. "Shouldn't you already be at the dance?" I asked.

"Not without you," he replied with a grin, his pearly whites on full display.

"Let's go," he said, motioning toward the car.

"I'm driving," I teased.

"Fine by me, babe."

We both got in, and I pulled out of the driveway.

Tara's POV
We pulled into the parking lot, the bass of the music thumping even from inside the car. I reached for the door handle, but Klaus stopped me.

"Remember the rules," he said, his expression serious.

"I know, Klaus," I said with a roll of my eyes.

I opened the door, and before I could step out, Klaus was already there, closing it behind me.

I giggled, pulling him toward the entrance of the college. Klaus glanced around cautiously, his protective nature on full display.

Mikael's POV
From the cover of the woods, I watched the bastard being dragged into the building by a fawn-like girl.

"Finally, I will kill the beast," I muttered.

"But remember," Anna said, holding a jar, "save our daughter first. Then you can take care of Klaus."

"Yes," I sighed, rolling my eyes.

"Take the men to the back, and on my call, we will attack," Anna instructed. "Mikael, you know what to do."

I nodded as we all went our separate ways.

Klaus's POV
After waiting in the long line, we finally reached the entrance. A teacher stood in front of the ballroom, blocking the way.

"Ticket, please," the man said, dressed in a plaid shirt and khaki pants.

Tara pulled out our tickets from her purse and handed them over. He tossed them into a bin but didn't let us pass right away.

He glanced between me and Tara, a smirk creeping onto his face. "Have a good evening," he said.

I shifted slightly to block his view of Tara as we walked past him.

"Stop glaring," Tara said, playfully slapping my shoulder.

"Well, he was staring," I grumbled.

"He can't even see me with you blocking his view. Who cares if he stares? The only person I want to be with is you."

Davina and Kol approached us.

"What took you so long?" Davina asked.

"Klaus drives fast, but Kol must have been speeding if you two got here before us," Tara said.

Kol smirked mischievously. "Ha! So I'm faster than Nick."

"No," Klaus said, wrapping an arm around Tara. "I have special cargo. I couldn't risk her getting hurt."

Tara blushed, while Davina gave a sarcastic, "How cute."

"You're matching," Tara noted, looking at Kol and Davina.

They exchanged a glance, a blush spreading across both their faces.

Klaus let go of my hand and looked around, scouting the venue. "I'll be right back," he said sternly. "Stay with Kol and Davina."

I nodded and watched him disappear into the crowd.
