"Hey, beautiful." Dylan greets you as you walk towards him in the lobby. He takes the bag you're carrying before reaching out for your hand which he clasps inside his.
Matt walks next to you, speaking with someone on the phone. When he hangs up, he turns to Dylan with a proud smile.
"I got us a reservation just now. I managed to get a hold of a friend who partly owns that place, and he gave us a spot that has a perfect view of the city."
Dylan turns to you. "We're having dinner first. Matt and I are famished. How about you, have you eaten dinner yet?"
You replied that you haven't eaten dinner either as well, although you have no appetite to eat at all after leaving Yoongi just like that. You cried at the elevator because you felt torn. You're glad to see Dylan after so many months but you've gotten used to being around Yoongi. Every moment you've shared is so special. If only Dylan arrived after the concert, then you won't have to hurt Yoongi just as much as you did today.
The restaurant was located in the penthouse of a popular hotel. You know it's expensive there, but your fiancée explains that you are celebrating the success of his New York application. He is particularly being extra sweet and attentive to you. That made you burn with guilt even more. You watch your fiancée as you take note of every feature you've fallen in love with. Beyond his looks, you love how he is sweet and caring. He isn't perfect because he does have flaws and yet all these times, you've looked past it. You had your fair share of arguments, but you manage to patch everything up quickly.
Dylan is a natural romantic and that's what you love best about him. You feel that he came into your life at a perfect time. Because of him, you forgot about the pain that you once had.
He turns to you and catches your eyes on him, and he smiles.
"You've been very quiet. Is everything ok?" He asks you.
You nod your head. He and Matt were chatting about something that is happening in their office. You did not attempt to join their conversation because you are clueless about what they were talking about as half of your mind is somewhere else.
"I'm just a little tired. I had a little drink last night." You find yourself saying. You hold back the rest of the information because you don't think he'll take it well when he finds out that you were drinking with two men, one of them was your ex, in the room of his manager.
He clucks his tongue lightly as he touched your cheek.
"I told you not to drink too much when you're working the next day." He spoke. His phone beeps and he looks at it, typing something first before he turns to you. He hasn't even started talking yet when his phone sounds again so he had to take it once again and sends another reply.
"Who are you texting?" You ask curiously.
"You don't know him even if I tell you. He's someone from work." He replies.
You nod your head although you feel bothered by it. But then, how can you be jealous that he's texting someone else when you aren't very loyal to him either? You're the one who committed something wrong that you should be sorry about.
Your order arrives so you did your best to push aside your thoughts about Yoongi and just focus on Dylan. You respond to his questions and smile when you have to. You eat your food looking as if you're enjoying it even though you could barely taste it. Like you've said before, you are good in masking your feelings. No one can guess that you feel miserable inside.
"Y/N, so are the talks true about Agust D, and Kitty having a thing, or is it just a promotional issue?" Matt asks you all of a sudden.
Just like that, your mind goes back to him.
