"I... just can't believe it."
Y/N rolls her eyes and sighs at Harry's disappointed voice, which sounds like he's been betrayed.
"You're overreacting." She says, as she settles into the couch and continues browsing the Netflix home, looking for a good movie to watch.
"Overreacting?! You haven't seen the best romantic comedy in the world and you tell me I'm overreacting?" He screams indignantly as he puts a popcorn in his mouth. "Don't waste your time looking for a movie, we're going to see The Notebook right now."
And she doesn't have time to complain when he takes the remote control out of her hands and plays the movie, stirring excitedly.
"Be ready to cry."
The minutes pass, the protagonists meet, Ryan Gosling threatens to jump off a roller coaster, and she and Harry snuggle on the couch with him leaning on her chest.
"You're watching?" He asks again, and she says yes.
Y/N can't lie, she started to like the movie and she saw herself letting out some smiles while stroking the hair of her love. This is nice.
"He's trash, trash, trash. Not for you!" He repeats just like the voice on the movie.
"I don't understand the old people, is it a side story or something?" She asks, and Harry shakes his head.
"No, baby. You'll see."
Harry leaves kisses on her arms when the sad part begins, and he confesses that he shed some tears too.
"Shit, it's so cliche it makes me cry like a bitch." She says, and he laughs kissing her hands.
"Arrogant son of a bitch, huh?" She looks at him suspiciously when she hears the dialogue, and he smiles like a little boy who was caught in the middle of a prank.
When the protagonist doesn't recognize her children, Y/N lets out painful sobs, until she suddenly falls silent.
"They're... they're their children!" She says, and keeps crying.
They don't know when they changed position, but now it's Y/N who snuggles into Harry's chest, seeking comfort that he of course gives her.
"Sh, lovie, it's okay." He says, hugging her tightly but she pulls away angrily.
"It's your fault! I was fine without seeing this stupid movie." She squeezes the purple fabric of her boyfriend's bodysuit, seeking comfort. "I can't believe she has Alzheimer's, it's so sad."
"I know, gorgeous, I know."
Harry was also quietly crying, thinking that maybe it had been a bad idea to watch this movie with Y/N, because if he imagined them in that situation, he'd just want to drown in his tears and die.
He didn't realize his silence turned to sobs until his love held his face and she looked at him worriedly.
"H... relax, you've seen it hundreds of times." She whispered, wiping the tears that fell from his bearded cheeks.
"It's just that I'm with you now and I love you, and it's different, you know?" He answered between tears.
"I love you too, my love. Let's keep watching the movie, yes? It's about to end according to Netflix."
He nodded and they both hugged each other tightly as they looked at the large flat screen to continue watching.
A few minutes later, Harry sighed and pulled Y/N into his arms knowing what was to come.
"No fucking way." She says silently. "No, no, no."
Noah and Allie pass away, together.
Y/N cries so much that in a moment she stops thinking that it's her who's desperately sobbing as she's snuggled into her boyfriend's arms.
"It's so sad but it's so good." He says, also crying.
When the movie ends and the credits appear, neither of them are crying, but they remain silent, cuddling each other.
"It makes me think of us." She is the first to speak. "What would we do if we were in that situation."
"I would read our notebook to you a thousand times, angel." Harry whispers, placing a chaste kiss on her head.
Y/N sighs, feeling her heart beat wildly for the man next to her.
"Let's see it again sometime, hmm?" She looked him in the eyes, and regretted it when she saw the spark of arrogance there.
"So are you telling me that you're grateful that i showed you this wonderful movie?" Harry says, smiling innocently and flicking his eyelashes.
"Looks like Noah isn't the only arrogant son of a bitch."
