Missing Harry wasn't a new feeling to you. His job often took him to any and every corner of the world where you couldn't follow him. You learned how to live and function even with the heavy weight laying on your chest, making tears gather up if you thought about it for longer than a few seconds.
But missing him while he was right there, next to you, was something you never experienced. Usually, when you were finally together after a very long time, Harry couldn't leave you alone for even a second. He was like a little kitten which latched on you and went everywhere with you.
When you decided to accompany Harry on his second world tour, you thought it was going to be like that. You would accompany him to his meetings, quietly listen, go to the rehearsals with him or just help him with the final touches on his outfits. Now you know you should've known better.
You've been on Harry's tour for a few months now. The only things you've seen were the hotel rooms and the drives from and to the airport. You haven't talked to Harry properly in over a week and were getting fed up. You understood what you were getting into when you decided to tag along on the road. You knew he wouldn't be able to be with you every single second of every day, but this has gone too far.
You woke up early that morning, quickly making the bed and changing into the clothes you prepared the night before. You quickly brushed your teeth, fixed up your hair went to the dining hall of the hotel to hopefully catch Harry finishing his breakfast.
You rushed to the elevator, bouncing on your heels as you watched the numbers on the display, indicating the floor you were currently on, go lower and lower until a zero shined in red. You walked out of the cabin, around the reception, and a group of people who were just checking in.
Walking through the opened double doors, you looked around the dining hall only to see Lambert and Sarah quietly talking about something. You walked towards them, still looking around to spot Harry.
"Good morning," you greeted and sat on the empty chair opposite Sarah.
"Good morning," She answered and shifted slightly in her seat to look at you.
"Is Harry here by any chance?" You asked curiously and Lambert shook his head as he chewed on his breakfast.
"No, he was leaving the hotel when we arrived at the lobby, that was about 20 minutes ago, why?"
"I just wanted to talk to him, he's been quite distant with me lately, I just wanted to see if he was okay," You sighed sadly and snatched a piece of untouched cucumber from Sarah's plate.
"He probably went to the arena already, he said something about longer rehearsals or something, he's probably nervous about the show today, it's the biggest venue on this leg," Lambert shrugged as he stuffed his face with some kind of pastry from the plate in the middle of the table.
"Okay thanks guys, I'm going there right now, I'll talk to him and see you at the arena in a few hours," You stood up and left the room in a hurry.
You walked out of the hotel into the bustling street and stopped a taxi which just stopped to drop off some man in fitness attire.
You hopped into the back seat and told the driver the address of the arena. The drive wasn't long, only about 15 minutes plus the morning traffic. You quickly found out the driver wasn't a talkative guy. He only nodded when you told him the address and turned the radio to quite a loud volume, indicating he didn't want to talk with you.
You paid him when he stopped in front of the arena and said goodbye before he sped off into the busy traffic of the busy morning city.
You walked into the arena through the employee's entrance, where you showed your ID to the security and he let you through. You walked the long winding halls of the arena, trying to make the sense of the floorplan. Many of these arenas were built in a very similar pattern and it didn't take you long to figure out the direction you need to go in.
