POV- Venetra
It had come to me that the peace was coming to a close. My skin began to grow darker. The snaps went off inside my head. I could sense the death count in the universe grow higher by the day.
The thing is, today something extraordinary happened. I could sense something different inside my heart. My soul could feel it as well. The knocks had happened. Loud knocks as a desperate cry for help. It had flashed back to me the last times my help was needed.
Seeing my best friend collapse to the ground and bleed out into the soil. Whoever these people were needed me.
I gave myself some time to gather some of my things. I didn't have much to gather anyway. I threw on my coat and some baggy clothing to conceal myself in case the world was dangerous. I took a few medicinal herbs because it had been awhile. The knocks sounded far. Meaning, I would have to go into a celestial form for a certain amount of time because of the speeds I'd be traveling.
I got up, grabbed my lantern, and packed my gadgets to find where I was needed. I threw a recorder up into the air to find the frequency as to where I was needed. 38.5 light years away. I couldn't foresee the color just yet. All I could feel was some warmth and breeze from my vision.
I floated up into the atmosphere and felt the dense, almost airless atmosphere of my blue planet fade away. For being alive for billions and billions of years I have learned to survive without oxygen.
I began to speed up; heading towards my destination. As I sped up, my skin began to darken.
My mask could feel nothing. Space is an area where its impossible to feel. You are weightless with no gravity.
My skin began to show the stars and galaxies. My celestial form was growing. I become almost invisible as my clothing began to glow and so did my hair and eyes.
507mph... 540mph... 597mph
My planet was no longer visible. I was now out in the middle of what seemed like nowhere. I started to slow down and look at all the auras around. Colors and stars of every type. I could hear faraway sounds and detect certain snaps and foretelling lives. I just waited. I floated and re-gathered my energy.
I took off again. This time going at the speed of light. I could feel my eyes being everywhere. Watching everyone. Looking through every crevice in the universe. My skin began to glow a somewhat bright version of purple. If you had seen me from afar, it might've looked like your average shooting star. I saw worlds of water, sands, Fire, Darkness, cultures, life, hatred, healing, love, misery, and so so so much more.
I was getting close to my destination. I could feel my throat tighten as I got closer. I began to ache and feel sorrow. I began to wait carefully to enter into the next world. Hundreds of years had passed since I had entered a new world. I began to open the portal into the next section of space. I felt life's anger, pain, misery, hatred, and much more. I saw different forms of life burn up, cry, and run away from something. I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
I had been flying for whoever knows how long when I had finally found it. A big shell of a planet. It had a huge shell of crystal around it and I could sense a hell of a dense atmosphere inside. I could feel a slight wind as I began to enter the planet. I slowed down as the crystal opened up at my power. Per usual and past times, I never slow down enough.
I began to crash into what looked like a palace crystal window and slammed right into what felt like stairs. I could see the stars on my skin fade. I felt a supernova on my right shoulder blade and it ached. The aching went away though as my skin turned back to galactica.
I pushed half of my body up. I took off my mask to find that no one was around. I looked around as I saw crystals on the ceilings and walls. Each a different color, shape, and size. I put on my eyeglass to start identifying things. Each name appeared when I looked at an unknown alien-like substance.
I looked at one of my many bracelets. The pattern to get home had changed. The bracelet helped me get home whenever or IF I ever got lost.
A man in armor opened a door and screamed in shock when he saw me. His face looked at me as if I was naked. Which I wasn't. He shouted some words distantly in another direction and ran off.
I finally got up and looked around. Paintings of warriors, generals, and royalty had been hung up. What looked like to be the most recent one looked to be a young lady. She had pale white hair. A dress on with a general's pin. These others had a husband, wife, and children. Hers looked lonely as it was just herself. Her skin was a slight silver in contrast to her hair.
I walked up to the area where I had crashed into. I saw bits and pieces of where I had left some pieces of my inner self. I kneeled down to pick them up and absorb them back into my skin. When I got up and turned around, with my mask on, I saw the lonely woman.
"Long time no see," she said with an angelic, cold tone.
"Don't think I remember you," I say confused.
"Wouldn't expect you to. It's been quite a long time," she said as she held her hand out."Ahem, I was summoned here because I had heard a knocking. I'd like to know why," I said looking around.
"Before I answer, my name is Sereniti. Pleased to meet you." She held out her hand.
"Venetra. Quite an honor," I said shaking her hand.
"I requested you here to help fight. Something is brewing and you might be the only one who can stop it right aw—-" I interrupted her.
"Sorry miss, I cannot disrupt the peace that is still here currently." I folded my arms.
"It's not us. It's him," she stated, pointing to a man who showed up beside her with fear in his eyes.
"Please help us, I may not know who you are, but you can most certainly help us," He said with fear.
"I can try sir, but there's never a permanent solution," I stated calmly.
"I'll take it," he started, "I will message my people and they will wait outside the shell for us. I assume your bags are packed?"
"Always," I stated.
"Excellent," the boy said shaking my hand.
"What's your name," I asked the boy.
"Itti," he started, "Yours?"
"Venetra, Guardian of the space between worlds, Celestial of the blue planet."
"I think we'll get along just fine," he said as he held open the door for me as we both ran out onto the balcony.
"Yes we will, Itti... Yes we will..."
