I stole the golden knight's necklace. I wonder how much I could get for it in the other galaxies. i had it stored on a cushion in my satchel. I unwrapped the blanket and saw it. It contained part of the cure for the hatred and the disease.Anundro and I ran through streets of gold trying to get the hell out of the empire. The knights were quick on out tail and the alarms were sounding. They might have been fast but I was faster.
I couldn't believe I had done it! I saw my partner Anundro in the front seat of our buggy.
"How much further," I yelled above the engine as it roared.
"Not sure! We're gonna be traveling through a shit ton of heat id be ready for the worst!" He yelled back.
"Sounds good," I yelled over, though I don't think he heard me.
There was a giant sand dune ahead that we had to get over to our pickup point. I flung up my scarf over my nose to keep the sands out of my face as we started to gain altitude. Anundro pulled his scarf over his nose as well. More and more sand had begun to fall into our faces as we climbed steeper.
I was dressed in black and some darker colors while Anundro was in colors that matched the desert.
"CLICO YOU RUTHLESS BASTARD DO YOU SEE THAT IN THE SKY?!?," Anundro yelled at me after taking a glance behind us while driving.
"What?," I said as I looked back.
I could see a golden orb drop into the sand below. Minutes later the orb exploded and we couldn't see a thing.
"SHIT ANUNDRO! WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED?!" I screamed at him.
I could barely hear a thing because my ears were in shock. They were ringing and I finally looked up at the drivers seat. He wasn't there.
"CMON CLICO GET OUT THE DAMN BUGGY WE GOTTA GO!" Anundro grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the buggy.
I grabbed one of the hooks from the side and threw it up the cliff. I held Anundro close so that way we wouldn't fall. I started climbing up the cliff away from the knights.
"You okay," I asked exhausted as I climbed.
"Yeah, I just have some injuries. I should be fine though, yeah?" He looked down.
"We should be okay. They're far down there now," I said with reassurance.
I continued the climb in the heat. Anundro looked exhausted. I was almost to the top. Just a little longer... The heat beat against my face. Sweat dropped down into my scarf. I struggled to breathe with the harsh atmosphere.
I finally felt the cliff. I could barely hear the bombs from down below. I hoisted Anundro on the top of the rocks. After I finished, I used the rest of my strength and rolled onto the top. I took deep breaths in and out. My chest rose and fell. I looked at the orange sky. I felt a sandy wind start to blow in our direction. I heard the bombs fade and eventually they went quiet.
