POV- Cyfrin
She sat there with me and looked out at the fields quietly as the wind blew in her face. She looked worried sick about something. Being the good friend I am, I decided to ask her about it. We were both wrapping our arms around our knees.
"You okay?" I lifted my head up.
"In all reality... No," she replied with a crack in her voice.
"What's happened?" I turned to look at her.
Blue veins began to run through her hair.
A sign that I knew full well what it was. Sadness. Sadness indeed.
"I'm worried," she said finally.
"About?" I gave her a concerned look.
"Everyone expects me of all people to save the universe when in reality... sometimes I feel like I don't want to. I need a break," She sighed.
I couldn't believe it. She never asks for a break. The universe was wearing down on her... after trillions of years...
"I can understand. I need breaks myself sometimes too," I nervously laughed.
"This isn't a laughing matter, Cyfrin. This is serious. If I collapse, the entire Universe does!" she began to lay on her side.
"I understand that. Is there any way you don't collapse and maybe just take a break?" I asked politely.
"I need rest. If I don't I will collapse... Cyfrin I am terrified," she looked at me with fear in her eyes.
"Venetra," I paused and scooted closer to her. "I will make sure you're okay. Mark my words. I won't let you collapse as long as I am alive."
"Cyfrin... I don't think you understand how much that means to me," She teared up at my words.
"I don't want to focus on the cure. I don't want to focus on saving the universe right now. I don't want to do anything. Nothing. Nothing for this entire planet's rotation. We should rest Cyfrin. We should rest," She spoke once more.
"It seems like a great idea. Let's do it shall we?" I smiled at her wisdom.
"Thank you for always listening to me Cyfrin. I'm glad the universe decided it needed you," she leaned back into the grass with a thump.
"I'm glad you were what the universe decided it needed first," I leaned back but further from her in my fields.
"Thank you Cyfrin," she said as she listened to the peaceful hum of the music of my planet.
"You are very welcome. Let's enjoy the silence now shall we?" I sighed in relief.
"Yes... We shall," she giggled slightly.
The slight vibrations of the ground made it easy to relax in my field of music. The chimes of my tree rang in the distance. They made my mind calm and I could sense that Venetra was calm as well. We were both in complete tranquility in this moment. We both felt the peace in the silence. The grass blew in the winds and I could hear the rustling alongside each blade of grass. It was a calming sound for sure. Soothing could be another right word for it.
Different calming beats filled the air and I began to breathe it all in once more. Venetra was asleep all the while. I could see some blue lines leak into the ground from her skin. The ground seemed to benefit from it so I didn't really worry. I hummed along to the peaceful tunes of my planet. I wonder what the decision making of her was. I wanted to wake Venetra up. I wanted to dance with her. This moment wouldn't last forever. Time was a bitch like that I guess.
