POV- Narcissus

I finally got home, but thing is I was furious. I got my ass handed to me. The prince of flowers wasn't no joke. Abanus returned back to his home planet. My hair was a mess and my suit had blood stains in it from the torture. I collapsed into my bed and sighed as I looked at the ceiling.

A planet so perfect yet nobody is allowed to touch it due to the prince. How challenging.

Rain poured down the windows of my building. I could hear the pitter patter on the windows. I was exhausted from my battle. Trouble was to come and trouble there always was. Trouble was around every corner for my selfish soul. It would never end due to how I was made. I only cared if Venetra put me in my place. She would always know if I didn't do my job. I thought she was the only one stronger than me, but the prince proved me wrong. I hadn't used my power in a very long time due to Venetra being outraged by the last time it happened. She made me forget about it and I couldn't tell you what happened after that. She forbid it from my memory.

Venetra is more than a privileged one. She's a celestial, making her far better than I could ever imagine to be. I feared her and only her. I could've won against that damned prince. I could've WON! Venetra pissed me off. She enraged me. Antonio was nowhere to be seen and for now I'll assume he left the city due to my busyness. I didn't care and I couldn't care. I don't care what Venetra would think of how I ran things here. It shouldn't be her business. After my rest, I grabbed a cigar from my drawer from a couple of days before and went outside to light it. The door digitally opened for me and I stepped outside. I used a match to light my cigar and put it in my mouth. I felt the warm smoke swirl around before I puffed it out into the cold, rainy air.

The rain wasn't violent. I felt calmed by it somehow. Although, something felt rather off. Something in the air wasn't right and something in the city felt quite disastrous. I looked around and put out my cigar on the balcony. The smoke disappeared quickly due to the rain. I looked down to see a man beating a woman to death. She screamed and tried getting away but the man was persistent on putting her in misery. I snapped into action immediately and rushed inside. I threw my cigar on the counter, grabbed a few of my weapons. Guns, whips, chains, Knives, you name it. I would only use my powers if it was completely necessary. Venetra would understand later and if she didn't, I don't care. This is my city and I do what I want with it.

This was a chance for me to prove to be somewhat of a hero and not an imbecile. To act without the care of what Venetra will do. I grabbed a suit of mine with a tailcoat and rushed to the elevators. I was going to create a bloody reign on that man. There was no doubt about it. My hair was still a mess as I waited inside the elevator. It rushed down as fast as possible. Once it finished, I wasted no seconds and busted outside of the elevator. I rushed through the casino floors and slammed my front doors open. I looked around and saw the man running away from the woman dead in the street. I grabbed my pistol and held it in both of my hands. I aimed at the man and shot at him multiple times. I hit his arm before going around the corner.

I ran through the rain as the water splashed on my shoes with every step. My sweat mixed with the rain as I gritted my teeth. My lungs were on fire and my legs hurt like hell. I hit the corner after a few minutes and saw no blood. I saw a bunch of black liquid draining down the drains of my streets. I didn't waste any more time as I saw the man with the shot arm sat against the wall. He huffed and puffed. His left eye had dark veins and he had an insane look in his eyes.

"You want to die too huh?!" he spat at me.

"I wouldn't try. You're not going to live long anyway," I scoffed at him.

It wouldn't hurt to use my powers just this one time right?

I looked around before staring into his eyes. He began to twitch and shake violently.

"STOP," He cried, "I DON'T WANNA SEE ANYMORE!"

"Is that so?" I said as I used it some more.

He screamed in pain as he began to drain out. His eyes fell to the ground.

"There. You don't have to see anymore," I laughed at him.

I pulled out my pistol and ended the screaming with a few gunshots to the head. I called over a few of my henchmen to get rid of the body. I heard the dragging of his clothing against the streets as they took care of it all for me. I sighed and rested one of my feet against the brick wall. After a few minutes of rest, I heard a few footprints head my way. More people had the insane look in their eyes. I grabbed my gun and started to open fire on them. They kept dropping one by one as they began to run at me. I threw some to the ground as my tiredness began to return. I kicked some of them back away from
me to remain safe.

I slammed some of their heads into the wall. I threw some out of my way and got out my gun to keep opening fire. I ran out of ammo and began to take a few steps back to figure out what to do. They kept closing in on me as I threw punches to keep them away. There were at least a few hundred of them now. The numbers kept growing. The one I shot was just a decoy for me to fall right into their trap. I used minimal parts of my power to minimize their violence against me. There was lots of minds to confuse and to keep back. Most of them were infected with hatred and violence.

I couldn't keep them back for much longer. I wasn't afraid of death. The universe had it planned for awhile now for sure. The universe disliked me and I could tell by now. They closed in more and more until I could feel some of them slashing into my skin.

I thought all hope was lost... until I felt heat and lots of it. I saw the pink flames from afar. Abanus came to my rescue. He slammed his hammer into the streets. Pink flames stormed and the infected people fled. He slammed his hammer into a few of them as they ran at him with their hatred.

"Hail the red rain!" He hollered as he slammed more of the infected to the ground.

I watched in shock at his power. He roared inside of his helmet and swung them around with ease. I became furious. I wasn't as powerful as him either. I used my power more and got into their minds and began to make them rot slowly. They screamed as Abanus slammed them into the air.

"HAIL THE RED RAIN," He screamed more into the skies as the infected began to burn.

The virus was a problem here now. I started to type an announcement for my citizens to quarantine away from the infected. I slashed some more of the infected as I saw healthy citizens run into their homes. I spat out blood from my mouth. My blood was a dark purple due to my inhumane self. Some of my emotions turned off as I fought. There was a deadly look in my eye as I finished clearing out the rest of the infected.

The red rain began. I shut down the city to make sure I ran the city correctly. It was time I took some sort of responsibility.

"Red Rain?" I asked Abanus.

"It was a battle I fought in where so many people died of mine that the rain turned red. Hence the name red rain," he explained to me.

"Oh, that makes sense now. Thank you for explaining to me," I said as I shook his armored hand.

"Anytime. You handled the situation greatly until I got here. I'm proud of you for not being selfish Narcissus. You grew today," he bowed his head at me.

"We'll take care of the red rain well without Venetra's intervention," I explained lightly to him.

"Yes we will," I sighed, "yes we will..."

"Let's reward ourselves with a drink before something bad happens," Abanus offered to me.

"Sounds perfect," I said as I spat the last amount of blood from the battle onto the floor.

"To the red rain?" He had a drink in his hand.

"To the red rain," I knocked my drink to his.

I've seriously got to find out what caused this virus. Or else the red rain would continue for who knows how long.

I had to stop the red rain. Before it spread further. To other planets. Or maybe it already had.

     I had to eradicate it.

     To stop the red rain.

      Once and for all.
