"SHE'S SICK SHE'S SICK," A nurse reported to the guards

"The golden knight has fallen ill?" The knight replied.

"It happened this morning, she's been in a slumber forever and I cannot fix it!" The nurse ran back to the room.

POV- Hope

I lay here in the bed. Wrapped in warm silk. I could not bring it to myself to move. I felt tormented and stuck in my own misery. Never once in the existence of my being have I felt this way. I felt a sense of loss and hatred. I felt like something was eating at my heart.

I started to grow into a deep slumber. I dug deep within myself and used my best ability to find what was wrong. I was inside myself. I could see the gold... The perfection...

All was perfect until I saw my heart. My heart had a certain darkness swirling around. It was trying to eat and claw at my heart. I didn't understand. A virus of hatred and emptiness has consumed me. I needed to call upon my allies. I needed my companion to awake from my sands. I needed a lot currently. This was my fight and my struggle alone.

I felt along the darkness. It had no such form. It was like sand but dark and cruel. It wrapped around the shield around my heart tighter. It felt fear of me. It had felt threatened. It felt alone....

"Don't you worry now, dear," I started, "You can come with me. I will take away your suffering, and make you feel safe," I said, comforting the darkness.

It hissed and growled. It calmed. It swirled around my body, using it's negative energy away. It curled into a small ball at the palm of my hand. I wrapped my hope into it and I sent it upwards towards my mouth.

I coughed it up and awoke in my bed with my nurses and knights clamoring over my awakening.

     "YOUR MAJESTY YOU'RE AWAKE!!"

     "ARE YOU OKAY?!?"

     "WHAT HAPPENED?!?!"

"I am quite alright, I just had some sickness in my heart," I stated calmly but exhausted.

"We are all glad that you are alive and well your majesty," They said in unison.

"Thank you. I appreciate all of your efforts to make sure I was well and healthy," I nodded to all of them.

I got out of my bed and gave my nurses and knights each a hug. They deserved it for serving me well. They may have got no pay, yet they still serve me with kindness as if I was their own mother. I keep the world together and fill it with hope and happiness.

"Alright alright... Enough of reunion. Get back to your posts I need to get back into my suit of armor and make sure things are running smoothly," I said exhausted.

The knights and nurses clamored out of my room and closed the doors quietly. I waltzed around with my feet bare and looked at all my paintings. Each one was of me and my battles. The battle at andromeda, The conquering of sands, The taming of beasts, and much more.

Each was my achievements and successes. I opened my closet and walked inside. I chose my gold and white suit of armor. I put each piece on delicately and opened the door again to my room. I walked over to the window and opened it quietly. Today was supposed to be sunny. This planet has two suns, so often it gets extremely hot. I didn't have to worry however. I felt a slight hot wind go across my face. I guess instead of sun we needed to expect a sandstorm.

It was then I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in," I said, not looking away from outside.

"Your majesty, I have your soup and a golden drink to help with your recovery," said one of my male doctors.

"Thank you very much dear," I said graciously as I took the soup and drink from his tray.

"You have a good day your greatness," he said as he walked out the door.

     "You too," I replied.

I drank my drink and I could instantly feel myself get a bit better. I took small sips and watched my kingdom below. Around my kingdom was a tremendous golden wall that protected the citizens below.

I brushed my golden, long, wavy hair and began to walk outside my room into the halls. One of my knights came up to me as I walked towards the throne room.

"Your greatness, I need some words of advice," He said with a bow.

     "Yes?"

"We need more words of wisdom on the army formation. Should the general have us do more marches and help the city more or do we stay in the warehouse where we can stay in secret like the usual?" He asked.

"I would ask the general that. Before you do though, make sure to warn the townspeople about the sandstorm that might happen today. They'll need to lock up their doors and take shelter," I said with kindness.

"Thank you your majesty. You always know what to do!" The knight bowed once more and marched to alert the town.

I walked up the stairs with my cape flowing behind me. I put on my crown and looked out beyond into the kingdom. the glass was stained a golden color. I could still see outside.

Outside the walls was sand and unbearable heat. A giant shield protected the kingdom from doom.  If it ever broke, the city would collapse from the heat.

One of the musicians below started to play on the golden harp. The elegant tune filled the kingdom and led my body to feel at peace. I knew something was wrong in the kingdom. It had been affecting me a lot lately. There was a certain darkness and depression affecting the town. I felt it deep down in my gut.

War was bound to happen. I could feel the snaps between worlds. I had even heard knocks before the sickness started. Word spread around that the sickness went to other worlds too. Although, there has been a few hopes. I've been hearing tales of a guardian between worlds defeating the evils.

One of the Generals ran inside the doors in a hurry.

"YOUR MAJESTY—- I—- Wait— THERES SOMEONE HERE FOR YOU—-"

He couldn't finish his sentence when a hooded figure walked in.

He revealed himself and I cannot lie, he was gorgeous. He had dark eyes and dark features. He had long hair with curls here and there.

I knew my weakness was to never fall. I was going to try my hardest. After all, I must remain pure. I must remain to the trueness of my people.

"Good afternoon your majesty," he started, "I have come to you to say that you are one of the most pure hearted people I have heard from all across the universe," He spoke as he looked up from his kneeling into my eyes.

I wouldn't let him get to me. I need to see to my people. I need to see to my faith. I needed to protect my heart and my people from the hands of darkness and hatred. Because it was spreading and spreading fast.

     I knew I wasn't going to let it happen... I couldn't...

And I sure as hell couldn't let a stranger steal the golden heart... Of the golden knight... in the golden kingdom.

As long as my heart is safe and pure, I won't get hurt and my kingdom won't fall.
