POV- Justice

After she left, I found myself back at the mirror planet. On the way there, I felt myself being followed. I decided to ignore it since there wasn't many privileged people anymore. I knew most of them, but I could never be sure.

Wind blew slightly into my face as I walked along the mirrored waters. There wasn't enough water to get my shoes too wet. The ripples didn't last too long as I walked peacefully along the planet.

There was a moment of silence as I began to think about how far I've come. I was upset about Asya leaving me like that, but I couldn't necessarily dwell on it. If she needed help, I was sure she'd get it. The virus had taken a lot of her recently. It grew stronger with every breath she took and that worried me. I remember being created in the lab out on the asteroids.

It feels like yesterday sometimes. I remember being looked at like a freak after years of my creation when I was released. The stares and the disgusted looks. I remember looking at myself in the mirror for the first time. I don't know who I was before my rebirth. After my creation, it took me years to figure out how to have extreme control over the lightning. It took me more years of processing my strength. For example, what were my limits? Could I increase them? What was the minimum amount of power I had? What were my weaknesses and strengths? There were so many questions in the beginning, but I never thought I would have to answer some questions.

Like how long I'd be in the asteroid prison for? How long would I live before I find out what I'm really existing for? How long until Asya realizes she needs to be cured? Could it be never? I was extremely curious about who I was before I was created.

I remember sitting there in the lab. I had tubes going all through my skin and body. I remember the pain of it all too.

Too well...

The electrocution, the tests, the torture, the lockdowns, the god awful meals, the riots from creatures that were captured, the destruction of planets, the screams in the night, and I just had to ignore it all. I remember them calling me in to do the last test. I had my strength and I was extremely prepared for it.

"Project yellow report to the testing room," The voice said over the speaker.

I never got to meet the voice.

Weapons don't get to meet the voice.

I reported in and they attached me to some extremely heavy white chains. I walked up a set of stairs with the heavy chains attached to my back and arms. I dropped to my knees and faced the people in the masks watching me behind the windows.

Test one completed with flying colors.

They began to push some buttons behind the windows. They pushed some knobs forward and I could feel some sort of current going into my veins. I could feel more coming inside until the pain started to hit. It rushed all at once and I began to grit my teeth due to the pain. I screamed out in pain but they couldn't hear me. They didn't care that I was begging for them to stop. They wanted a weapon, and to them weapons don't have feelings.

I blasted out energy as my power was finally finished. They made a mistake. It had cost them their lives.

Lightning spewed everywhere and the room went white. Their job was done. Their life's work was finished, but now free of imprisonment. I was sent to the asteroid prisons with a key for when I wanted to leave.

I opened my eyes again to see a woman out in the distance. She had braided hair and two eyes. She looked to have three but I couldn't tell. Her skin was a shade of a darker blue and she wore a bunch of white clothing with dark blue designs all over her clothes. She wore a cloak and she had a mask over her mouth and it attached to her nose. She had four arms and she wore a battle skirt.

"Can I help you?" I asked with a questioning look.

"Depends on your answers to my questions," She was in front of me now.

"Shoot," I looked at her with a blank expression.

"Where's the creature in black," she said as she showed me a blurred, low quality, photo of Asya.

"That's the Catalyst. That's not a creature," I decided to be a smartass.

"Listen. Don't get smart with me. I have a feeling that THING is killing people on other planets," She pointed at me.

"I don't care. "IT" already left. Go find IT yourself," I shoved her slightly back.

"You should. That virus is going to destroy planets soon and it's my job and other's jobs to help fix it," She explained harshly.

"It's not my business anymore," I shrugged at her.

"Do you want to lose it?" she questioned.

     "Like I said, I don't care," I huffed.

"I'll offer you money," She suggested.

"How much," I glared at her.

"I would say a small share from the asteroid mines," She stated calmly.

"Make it medium and I'm in," I sighed.

"Fine. I'll make it work," she scoffed and held out her hand for me to shake it.

"Deal," I examined her hands as I shook one.

"Time to save your creature," She looked at me.

"My creature is a woman. Don't call her an it. She's not mine either," I explained.

"Either way, we still need to save her before it's too late," She answered back.

"Good idea. You're in charge of capturing her though," I said.

"Shouldn't be a problem," she said.

"What's your name?" I asked with a slight smile.

"Venetra, guardian of the worlds and the worlds in between them," she replied, "pleased to meet you."

"I'm Justice. I have the power of lightning," I responded.

"That's going to help us a lot," Venetra seemed cheerful, "We're going to need that!"

     "Why?" I looked confused.

"Because... Lightning traps the darkness," She smiled evilly, "And what happens then? The darkness runs until it can't run anymore. You can beat her."

We were going to trap Asya, cure her, save her, then save the universe.

      All we had to do...

     Was make her run...

     Run.

            Run....

                    run....
