POV- Cyfrin
I sat up in the tree and played the flute and a beautiful tune flowed into the wind. The chimes rang all throughout my tree. I soon put the flute away and climbed higher to get a better listen to the chimes. Golden, silver, bronze, Crystals, Wood, tin, and other magical metals. I was the only one here.
I patted on the wood of the tree and made a small beat. I lived on the furthest planet. Away from everything in the galaxy. The ground was mainly grass and some streams. At night if I'm lucky the ground will glow and make beautiful music. That usually happens when people come within 500,000,000 years away. That hasn't happened in awhile.
By awhile I mean a few hundred thousand years. Dusk was coming. The small sun would set beyond the fields and I would listen to the sounds of the night. The harp would appear in the middle of the field if I was lucky and I would play. Although, I could feel something watching. I'm not sure what presence it was. Neither good nor evil. I felt like it was a hero figure.
So many weird feelings these past few days...
I hummed again to the tune of the night winds. The ground began to glow. It was a bright glow this time. Sounds and a peaceful music began to bless my ears. I took off my cloak of gold and laid it on my branch. I sat on the cloak and listened to the peaceful tunes.
I closed my eyes and felt the wind change and change again. It blew around in my hair as if happiness itself was in the air. The chimes made the most beautiful tunes. After awhile, it brought a slight smile to my face.
I dropped from the tree and left seashells and started to run along the glowing lines. They ran all over the land like an ever-growing vine. They glowed all sorts of bright colors . I jumped on the floating clouds and the vine followed me. I hummed my tune as the music grew happier and happier. I hopped and jumped until I hit the last cloud and the vine disappeared.
I could see everything from up here. I saw the tree of chimes. I saw the fields filled with magic and sound. The sky and clouds swirling and looking magnificent. I never wanted to leave. I never wanted to be in a place where other people were. I looked at the sky. Stars scattered around in the midst of the darkness. I remembered the war days and I was glad I retired here.
I took a breath in...
I followed the trail of colors all the way down the clouds and found myself in the fields of music again. I grabbed my cloak of gold off the branch and went to the middle of the field where my harp stood there waiting for me.
I plucked along some strings and the ground began to glow in different lines, scattering along the field. With each line, emitted a different color-changing aura. I began to play a more peaceful tune and the wind spun around the chimes. I collected hundreds of thousands of chimes in the war times.
The war times were over however. I was very glad they were over. My peace was eternal. I lived to play my music and nobody could disturb it. The creatures began to rise and play a tune for themselves. Each as unique as the other.
I loved it. Every minute of every hour of every day.
The clouds glowed a pink color and shined down on my playing. I closed my eyes and played more and more. I played faster and faster as music filled the air more and more. I began to open them as I slowed down my playing.
A meteor shower showed itself above and I saw a purple one along with it. That was still awhile away but it was the first time I saw a meteor shower in a long time. Tonight was truly a special night.
I hopped off the mushroom stool.
I began to walk back home. Or to my tree. My tree was my home. I climbed up to my favorite branch. It held me in a comfortable way. I sat my cloak down and grabbed blankets from the top. I pulled them over my shoulder plates and I looked at the sky. Each star shined in its own way and I found each one to be unique. Even as they were far away from my planet I could tell they shined brightly.
I let out a sigh of relaxation. I looked at the meteor shower. The purple one was going a lot faster than the others. I heard purple asteroids were rare.
I began to close my eyes and the tree took me in. They gave me protection and comfort. I blended in more and more as I began to pull away from consciousness and begin the process of dreaming.
"Goodnight Chimes," I whispered to no one as I fell asleep.
I woke up the next morning with a stretch and the sky was pink as ever. The sun began to shine as it rose above the fields of magic and music. I took a breath once again. A wonderful to sight to see. The tunes filled the morning fresh air once again. The clouds swirled perfectly once again.
I Went to another platform on the tree to brew myself a morning warm drink. It was made with pink music-flowers and a hint of sweet syrup from one of my chimes. Some of the chimes poured out good edible juices and fruits if the music was good enough. Which yesterday, apparently was a good music day.
I wasn't surprised of that however.
I drank from my jug I had gotten from Goldenheart. It wasn't worth much. The higher quality jars could make you sing better, feel better, and perform better. This was just an ordinary jug. I stared at the sky as the sun was up above me now.
*************
As days continued to pass, I continuously noticed the purple asteroid getting closer and I couldn't tell whether or not I should be concerned.
As Dusk fell I had a plan.
I was going to get my scope. I needed to see if I was in danger or not.
The stars began to appear and the asteroids were gone.
All except one.
The purple one.
The fast one.
I got out my scope and set it up on my platform. I made sure I was fully covered in case the asteroid hit.
I looked through the scope and searched around the sky. Nothing?
Nothing.
It was then that I found the asteroid.
Or what I thought was an asteroid.
It wasn't.
An asteroid......
It was a person.
And that person....
Was coming towards my planet...Oh...
***Shit***
I began to run and hide within the tree as I heard a whistle through the air. And then silence.
Silence... Silence... Silence...
