Planet- EXAR
POV- Catalyst.
I blinked my way to consciousness as I raised my head off of the ground. I wasn't on my disaster-ridden planet anymore. I had my hands on soft, comfy moss. Justice was still passed out asleep before my very eyes. He laid there breathing slowly and felt peace in himself. My storm was on my home planet that I chose to never name. The mirror planet. It mirrored my very mistakes of my creation. I remember very little of the battle. I was slammed down by high winds and all of a sudden, it was gone. A bright light saved us both.
I wouldn't have expected to as I had hated the light for a long time now, but the battle passed and I felt some sense of healing in my veins. Justice saved me from it all. I couldn't feel any other emotions currently other than hatred, but lately it began to fade down. I eventually got to my feet and left Justice to his slumber. I breathed in the crisp air and listened to the absolute silence of this peaceful place. I looked around to see some footprints. They left small flicks of gold behind. I wonder who was here before us. Maybe our rescuer perhaps?
I can admit, Justice and I are a rather powerful duo. He is the calm before the storm in a sense. I bring destruction no matter what. This place might've been 100% tranquillity before I got here, but now I expect it to have some sort of decrease in percentage. My virus leaves sometimes without asking, and with how this planet is, it just might be inevitable. I wrapped up my hands in a black cloth and tried to nudge Justice awake. I knew he came from a prison. One of the lower levels for sure. I just wasn't sure what for yet.
"Wake up Justice," I whispered into his helmet.
He groaned in his sleep and I think I heard a small "not yet" out of him.
He must've been more exhausted than I was. I had time to rest and fix up my wounds. However, I found that I had many bruises on my back legs. I probably had some damage to my skull as well. I covered everything today except my eyes. I wanted to have them take in the light as it lasted. I wanted to bathe in the warmth I never had. There was some gold flicks on the trees and the bark surrounding some of the footsteps. A golden one was here for sure. I touched one of the gold flicks on the trees and it turns out it was colder than I expected. Must've been at least a week ago since the person was last here. They probably didn't visit this planet much. I had never stepped foot here before so this was all unknown to me. Come to think of it, I hadn't traveled much at all since the end of the wars.
I heard moving behind me and it turns out that justice was beginning to wake up. I rushed to his side and began to lift him up to his feet. He was fairly heavy since his armor was made of a gold-like meteor exterior. He was heavy for sure, but that wasn't him, it was the armor. He lifted his helmet off of him with great strength. His hair dropped down to his shoulders. It got longer for sure. He looked down at me and smiled. I didn't smile back, mainly because I didn't feel anything. I hadn't had a nervous system in a long time. Or a functioning left lung either. Most of it was all overtaken by virus. It left parts that I needed to live such as my brain, right lung, my ability to walk, think, and move things around with ease.
If the virus ever decides to take my mind from me one day, I'll have no other choice but to end my life then and there. I have been taught to withstand great amounts of pain for years of my creation. Justice took a small amount off of me which I wasn't exactly used to.
"Rise and shine," he said as he smiled at me.
"I don't exactly shine, Justice," I rolled my eyes.
"I know. Maybe one day though," he sighed and shook his head.
"You okay?" I asked as I spat some black blood to the ground.
"For the most part yeah. I do have some injuries though," He shrugged.
"I am sorry to hear. Well, we're in a perfect place to rest and heal up. Let's get to that shall we?" I offered.
"Yeah, that's probably the best idea for now," he shook his head and some moss burnt and fell to the ground from the electricity running through his hair.
Justice sat down and he began to make a blanket of moss.
"That's not big enough for you," I told him coldly.
"Its not for me," he said as one eye looked at me for a split second.
It took me a minute to realize that he was putting together a blanket for me.
"Thank you," I spoke softly.
"You're welcome," he said as he rolled his eyes with a soft smile. His acting was fading.
Justice reluctantly made the blanket three times the size of me and be began to snuggle under it. The sunlight faded and the stars popped up in the sky. The stars that I could see through the canopy anyway. Justice sighed and pulled the moss over his shoulders as I stayed a good distance away from him in the blanket.
"Remember—-" I was interrupted.
"Don't touch you. I know. Not looking to die," he sighed.
"I wish I wasn't me," I admitted.
"What?" He looked at me with one eye.
"Justice. I wish I wasn't me," I repeated myself clearer this time.
"I know. I heard you. Why?" he questioned with a slight amount of care in his voice.
"I destroy and I terrify. I break and I shatter. I burn and ache from the growing pains from the virus. It turns me into a monster," I explained to him.
"I wish I could understand the pain you went through. I'm really sorry Asya," Justice said with great empathy.
"I don't think nobody will," I said with a break in my voice.
He could tell that the black tears were beginning to fall from my very eyes.
"Oh Asya... Do not fret. I will defend you even if whatever entity that encounters our path is stronger than the both of us," he felt the top of the fabric on my head.
"Thank you Justice. I really needed to hear that," I stated as I felt the virus swirling around in my body.
Justice looked up at the now dark canopy. His eyes wandered and looked at the stars that he could see. He let some lightning go peacefully in the air so that way there was light. It swirled in the air blissfully. His hair had began to glow with the lightning swirling inside of it. His golden eyes glowed too.
"Of course Asya. I'll protect you. Forever and always. You're my best friend after all," I felt a sense of pain inside of him.
"I'll do my best to protect you too," I reassured him in a slightly cold tone.
I was gonna protect him when the time came. For now though.
We got to rest.
In peace...
And tranquility.
