The doctor smiles

Doctor: yes we ran some tests and she should be walking up in a few hours

Vinnie and Jaden look at each other
Vinnie: okay thank you, doctor

The doctor leaves the room As Vinnie and Jaden a look at each other and smile as they wait for you to wake

Jaden: I'm going to go for a cigarette I'll be right back
He says as he stands up
Vinnie nods his
Vinnie: Okay

Jaden leaves  and Vinnie looks at you with a pleading look in his eyes
Vinnie: please wake up y/n, I need you
he says as he puts his head down and a tear rolls down his face

                                     Your PoV

You wake up to the sound of beeping you feel sharp pain going through your ribs, you open your eyes as the white light shines in your eyes
You look around the room confused about where you are after a couple of seconds you realize you were in the hospital. you feel someone holding hands so you look down  and see it's Vinnie

Y/n: v-Vinnie
You say in a soft tone
Vinnies head shoots up and looks at you in disbelief
Vinnie: y/n
Y/n: what's happened
You say trying to sit up as you take a sharp breath through gritted teeth in pain
Y/n: ahhh fuck
You mumble
Vinnie: hey take it easy
You nod your head

Vinnie reaches behind you and presses the button for the doctor to come into you, you give him a confused look as The doctor rushes in

Doctor: y/n your awake how are you feeling
Y/n: I'm okay my ribs hurt though
He nods his head
Doctor: has Vinnie told you what happened
You sake you head no
Doctor: well your friend Mr. Hossler called an ambulance when he got to your house you hardly had a pulse. when the ambulance arrived you didn't have a pulse they had to perform CPR after a few minutes they got a heartbeat back, but unfortunately, they broke two ribs they should heal within the next few weeks

You slowly nod your head trying to process what he has just told you, you put your head down as Vinnie takes your hand and puts it in his. You look up at him as he gives you a reassuring smile.

Y/N: do you know why this happened?
Doctor: yes, from the tests that we have ran, it's because you are severely underweight your body couldn't handle it you need to start eating properly
You put your head down as you feel ashamed, then you look back up at him
Y/N: thank you, doctor
He smiles at you as he turns around and leaves the room you put your head back down as Vinnie starts to speak
Vinnie: I was terrified, Y/N the doctor told me you only had a 10% chance of making it
You sigh as you look back up at him
Vinnie: why didn't you tell me you stopped eating?
Y/N: I don't know, I just didn't want you to worry about me
Vinnie: Y/N my love, I will always worry about you. When did you stop eating?
Y/N: I don't know when I left for  New York.
Vinnie: Y/N that was nearly 7 months ago I thought you were getting better
You put your head down as your eyes fill up with tears
Y/N: I'm sorry Vinnie after my parents died I lost my appetite and I couldn't bring myself to eat anything
You say as a Tear rolls down your cheeks
Vinnie: shhh baby, don't cry, it's okay
He says as he wraps his arms around you, you flinch at first but soon melt into his arms. At that point you both have tears running down your faces

After about 10 minutes, Jaden walks back through the door He looks at you, who is now sitting up in bed, his eyes go wide with shock as he rushes over to you

Jaden: oh my God, Y/N you're awake I've been so worried about you you really scared me
Y/n: I know, I'm sorry I didn't mean to worry, you
Jaden; it's okay, y/n, don't apologize it's not your fault how are you feeling?
Y/n: I'm okay, but my ribs really hurt

Jaden nods his head as him and Vinnie start talking. You start to zone out as you try to process everything that has happened over the past few days after a few hours, you start to get really sleepy and you yawn, Vinnie turns and looks at

Vinnie: if you're tired baby, try and get some
Sleep
You nod your head as you close your eyes
Vinnie, good night baby, I love you
Y/n: I love you too

You say in a sleepy voice, you slowly drift off to sleep. you soon wake up to somebody sightly shaking you

Vinnie: baby wake up
y/n: yeah
you mumble as you open your eyes
Vinnie: I have to go, baby, visiting hours are over
y/n: oh okay
Vinnie: ill be back first thing in the morning

you nod your head as he leans over and kisses you on your forehead you smile as he stands up and grabs all of his things

Vinnie: ill see you tomorrow my love I love you
y/n: I love you too

you say as he leaves the room you sigh as you go to sit up you groan in pain as you put your hand on your ribs and you put your other hand out to hold onto the wall as you slowly climb out of bed you slowly start to slowly walk to the bathroom as you slightly stumble but soon regain your balance it takes you a few minutes to reach the bathroom but once you get there you do your business, you squeeze your eyes shut in pain as you stand up you look in the mirror you see the dark purple rings under your eyes you look really pale you don't look like yourself  your lips are cracked your eyes look swollen you shake your head and sigh as you slowly walk out of the bathroom and slowly walk back to your bed once you do you feel really exhausted so you decide to get some more sleep it only takes you a few minutes before you fall back to sleep
