Forever and Always. [Legolas x Reader]

Jump!

"I'm alright. I'm not hurt." Frodo says.

"You should be dead! That spear would've Killed a wild boar."

"I think there is more to this hobbit than meets the eye." Gandalf states.

Frodo reveals a Mithril shirt.

"Mithril! You are full of surprises Master Baggins."

Legolas stands next to me.

"Hey, princess." I tease.

Legolas rolls his eyes, he looks over at my bloody arm, and his face changes.

"Legolas, I'm fine," I assure him.

He doesn't listen, instead, he finds a rag and ties it around my wound.

I realize I still have a bandage on my head, I take it off and throw it to the ground.
We hear more orcs down the hall.

"To the bridge of Khazad-Dum!" Gandalf orders.

We run out the door, orcs peruse us. Orcs start crawling down the walls and pillars like spiders. Soon we're surrounded. We have our weapons drawn, ready to fight. Just then a fiery light appears at the end of the hall and following it comes a thunderous growl. The orcs scatter.

Frightened, I look to Legolas, then to Gandalf.

"What is that?"

"A Balrog-- a demon of the ancient world. This foe is beyond any of you. Run!"

We enter a passage way, then we go down a flight of stairs. Parts of the steps end into the chasm, Boromir nearly falls but Legolas pulls him back. We take another flight of stairs down.

"Gandalf."

"Lead them on, Aragorn. The bridge is near."

Aragorn resists.

"Do as I say! Swords are no more use here" Gandalf orders.

We come to a gap in the stairs, Legolas jumps first and lands on the other side.

Legolas beckons, "Gandalf."

Gandalf leaps after him. Then I Jump, Legolas catches me and puts me down next to him.

Arrows start flying at our feet. Legolas, Aragorn and I shoot back.

Boromir picks up Merry and pippin, and jumps forward. Aragorn throws Sam to Boromir, who catches him.

Aragorn reaches to pick up Gimli.

"Nobody tosses a Dwarf." Gimli protests. He leaps forward but nearly falls back into the chasm. Legolas grabs him by the beard.

"Not the beard!"

Pieces of the stairs start crumbling, Aragorn and Frodo step back. The stairs begin to wobble.

"Stay there. Hold on. Hold on! Lean forward!"

"Come on!" Legolas encourages.

They shift their weight forward. The stairs crash forward, connecting to the other stairs. They leap across to safety,We run as the stairs collapse behind us.

"Over the bridge! Fly!" Gandalf shouts.

We cross the bridge, Gandalf turns to face the balrog. The balrog growls.

"You cannot pass!"

"No!" I say under my breath.

"Gandalf!" Frodo yells.
