Forever and Always. [Legolas x Reader]

A familar face

~at the reception~

We watch Aragorn and Arwen dance. He dips her and ends the dance with a kiss.

The crowd applauds them.

Kylaney and Gimli come back with a bunch of ale.

"Please don't get drunk this time, Aurë."

I sigh. "Fineeee, but I'm still drinking."

"How about this?" Legolas stands up and grabs my hand. "May I have this dance?"

I smile. "Of course."

Legolas leads me to the dance floor. We dance next to Éowyn and Faramir.

Legolas twirls me, pulls me close and ends our dance with a kiss.

I wrap my arms around his neck and stand there with him for a while.

He leads me back to our seats and we sit down.

I grab a mug of ale and drink it.

I lay my head on Legolas's shoulder.

Arwen and Aragorn come back.

I smile at them. "Hey."

I sit my head back up normally. Aragorn places a hand on my head and wobbles it around.

"I will fight you."

Aragorn chuckles and stops.

~later~

"I'm going to go get fresh air." I whisper to Legolas.

"Would you like me to accompany you?" He asks.

I slightly smile. "Sure."

We walk outside. We walk along on a path.

Legolas pulls me to his side while we walk. I smile.

We walk for a bit more then we head back inside.

There is a woman at our table talking to everyone.

We walk up to our table. The woman looks at me. She's an Elleth.

I see a familiar face that I haven't seen in years.

"Y/n?"

My eyes widen. "Naneth?"

She nods.

"But, you went missing. I thought..."

"I know. I will explain everything." She hugs me.

I hug her back.

"But first, where's your Ada?" My mother asks when we pull away.

Tears run down my cheeks. "He's...gone."

My mother looks at me in shock. "How?"

"He died in battle..."

My mother starts crying. I hug her.

"I'm sorry."

"I show you to an empty room, Miss." Éowyn speaks up.

I pull away.

My mother nods. "Thank you."

Éowyn leads her away.

Legolas hugs me. "Are you alright, Melleth?"

"Yeah...I'm gonna go rest."

Legolas kisses my forehead. "I will take you there."

I walk over to Arwen and hug her. "Have a good night, I will see you tomorrow."

"Goodnight, Y/n. Sleep well, Mellon nin." Arwen says.

I side hug Aragorn. "Congratulations, to both of you."

"Thank you, Y/n."

I walk over to Kylaney and hug her.

"Have fun." I tell her when I pull away.

Legolas takes me back to my quarters.

"Would you like me to stay with you, or would you like to be alone?" Legolas asks.

"You can do ether."

Legolas hugs me. "I think I will give you some time alone."

I nod. "I will see you later."

"Sleep well, Melleth." He kisses me then leaves.

I change into a nightgown. I begin to cry, in confusion while thinking about everything. I slide slowly down a wall. I bring my knees to my chest and sit there.

~a couple of hours~

I'm still sitting in the same spot, crying. I've become very tired but haven't decided to get into bed.

My door opens.

I look and see Legolas, he rushes to my side.

"I should of just stayed with you." Legolas says quietly.

Legolas kisses the top of my head. He picks me up and sits me on the bed.

I wipe my tears as Legolas sits next to me. Legolas pulls me to his side and wraps his arms around me. I lay my head against him and close my eyes.
