Forever and Always. [Legolas x Reader]

A walk in the gardens

Okay, so I saw that elves take two years to give birth, and imma change it to the same as humans, for plot reasons ofc.

~7 months later~

I'm supposed to deliver my babies any day now, we can't wait to meet them. Tauriel helps me when Legolas isn't available, the maids help me out a lot too.

With Legolas being king, we haven't been able to spend as much time as we used to. But when I spend time with him, I enjoy every minute of it, even if we are working.

Kylaney and Éomer are supposed to come in a few days. Hopefully the babies will be here soon.

Arwen and Aragorn are planning on coming to visit once they get word of the babies being born.

I'm sitting outside in the gardens, just looking at how beautiful Mirkwood is. I love it here, though, I do not see my friends as often.

Legolas walks up to me and a big smile goes across my face when I see him.

Legolas smiles. "Hello, Melda."  [Melda: beloved, dear, sweet, etc.]Legolas sits next to me.

"Hey." I say still smiling.

Legolas pulls me to his side. "How are you feeling, Aurë?"

"The same as normal, some back pain, that's about it."

Legolas kisses my cheek. "Are you sure? Do I need to get you anything, or do anything?"

"Leggy," I chuckle. "I'm fine, don't worry. I'll tell you if  I need something. Okay?"

Legolas smiles softly. "Alright." He kisses me.

"Shouldn't you be ruling the kingdom?" I ask with a grin when he pulls away.

"I came to check on you. Besides, I should be able to spare a few minutes to spend with my wife."

I smile. "That's sweet of you."

Legolas smiles proud of himself. "I know."

I press my forehead against his. "I love you." I whisper.

"I love you too." Legolas whispers back.

I kiss him with a small smile.

I lay my head on his shoulder. Legolas lays his head on mine.

I close my eyes, smiling.

A few minutes later Legolas lifts his head.

I open my eyes and lift my head up.

"As much as I wish I could stay here with you, I must get back."

"Okay." I smile understandingly.

"Would you like me to take you to your room to rest?"

"It's alright. I should probably exercise anyways."

Legolas hugs me before pressing a kiss against my lips. "I love you, Aurë."

"I love you, Leggy."

Legolas leaves. I get up and walk through the gardens.

I look at the flowers and I feel something. I come to a realization that my water just broke.

I waddle back inside with my pregnant body.

Tauriel sees me waddling in the hallway faster than usual, which wasn't very fast regardless.

"Is everything alright, Y/n?" Tauriel asks.

I tell Tauriel what happened and she helps me get to the healers.

We make it to the healers. Tauriel sees my midwife and tells her what happened. My midwife has me lay down.

"I am going to get Legolas for you." Tauriel tells me.

I smile. "Thank you."

My midwife instructs me on some things. I nod in response.

Legolas comes in worried.

I can tell he is worried by the second he walks in.

"Why are you worried?" I ask.

Legolas smiles softly and walks up to me. "I just want everything to go well."

"Everything will go fine." I reassure him.

Legolas sits in a chair next to the bed. He holds my hand.

A about 2 hours later I went into labor.

~5 hours after I went into labor~

I gave birth to two beautiful twins.

My midwife wrapped them in cloths. "You have a baby Ellon and a baby Elleth."

Legolas and I smiled as she handed them to me. They both had Legolas's ocean blue eyes. I look at them teary eyed and exhausted. I scoot over and tell Legolas to sit next to me.

Legolas sits next to me. I give him our baby girl to hold. He holds her and smiles down at her. She makes a happy noise and an adorable face. I can already tell she is going to be a Ada's girl.

I feed our little Ellon while Legolas holds our girl.

When I finish feeding the babies and they fall asleep I lay my head on Legolas's shoulder in relief.

"I will watch them while you rest." Legolas tells me.

I lift my head up and smile exhaustedly at him.

Legolas presses a kiss against my lips before taking the babies and sitting down in the chair at my bedside.

I lay down and fall asleep quickly.
