Forever and Always. [Legolas x Reader]

Goodbyes and coronations

 

Later we find out that Frodo and Bilbo are sailing to the undying lands along with Galadriel, Gandalf, and Lord Elrond.

We gather outside with everyone. The hobbits are crying along with Arwen.

I'm on the verge of tears. Elrond is like a father to me. They are all like family. Although Im not very close to Frodo it's sad to see him go.

I hug Arwen, knowing it's hard for her to say goodbye to her father, knowing that she will never see him again.

Frodo says goodbye to his friends. I watch the hobbits cry, it breaks my heart to watch them cry.

I let go of Arwen so her father can hug her. They hug and say their goodbyes.

"Thank you for everything." I tell Lord Elrond.

Elrond smiles warmly. "Farewell, Y/n."

I give Elrond a teary smile. "Farewell."

Legolas places his hand on my shoulder as Elrond walks away and they board the ship.

Aragorn hugs Arwen as we watch everyone sail away.

The hobbits stand there sadly watching their friend sail to the undying lands, never to return.

Kylaney hugs the hobbits, in efforts to comfort them.

~later~

I'm in my room with Kylaney.

"Promise me something." I tell her.

"Promise you what?"

"That you will go to the undying lands in a few years time. Promise me. I can't loose Arwen, Aragorn, and you."

"What about Éomer?"

"He should be able to go too. Legolas and I should be able to join you in a few centuries."

"Why in a few centuries?" Kylaney asks.

"Legolas is supposed to take his fathers throne. Just promise me you will go."

"I promise."

I smile at Kylaney. "Thank you."

Éomer and Legolas opens the door.

I throw my pillows at them. Legolas catches the pillow headed for him and the other hits Éomer in the face.

"How dare you not knock?"

Legolas throws the pillow back on my bed. "I told Éomer to knock, but he did not do it."

"It's his room too. He shouldn't have to knock." Éomer defends.

Kylaney playfully whacks Éomer upside the head with a pillow. "But you should."

I wave my hand. "It's fine....this time."

Legolas sits next to me. I flip his hair over his face.

"Hey!" Legolas complains then fixes his hair.

"That's for making me drop my arrows."

Legolas leans closer and whispers, "I will get you back."

We spent the day with everyone, Thranduil talked to Legolas more, he also talked with me.

~a few months later in Mirkwood~
~coronation day~ (tell me why while I was typing 'coronation' it came up as 'coronavirus' 😂🫡)

Kylaney, Éomer, Arwen, Aragorn, Éowyn, Faramir, Gimli, and the hobbits came for our coronation. (Phew, lots of names 😂. imagine saying that in a sentence 😂)

When Kylaney tasted the Mirkwood wine, she agreed with Legolas that it was better that Rivendell's wine, which, I agree with, but am I going to let Legolas know? Nope.

As usual, Legolas and I braided each other's hair, and I'm getting ready with the girls.

We put our dresses on. Éowyn does Kylaney's hair, and I do Arwen's hair, I love Aragorn, but I do not trust him with her hair. One time when we were younger he attempted to braid her hair and basically knotted it.

Once we are done we make it to the area where Legolas and I will be crowned king and queen.

Legolas and I stand backs to the audience and facing Thranduil

Thranduil says a speech.

First, Thranduil places a crown on my head. Then he places a crown that looks similar to the one that he had wore, on Legolas's head.

"Now come the days of the King and Queen."

I look at Legolas with a smile before we turn around. The crowd applauds as we turn around.

Legolas gives a speech, sounding wiser than I have ever heard him.

Once he finishes his speech, we walk down hand in hand.

The crowd applauds as we walk down and greet people.

Legolas and I finally managed to get away from people and make our way to our friends.

Kylaney hands me a glass of wine then hands Legolas one.

We spent the rest of the night celebrating with our friends and the kingdom.
