Bad dreams

I behead an orc, the battle was thick, it was getting hard to hold them. Arwen is fighting alongside me. I look over and see my ada fighting fiercely.

Suddenly an arrow pierces through his stomach. My world comes crashing down as my ada falls to the ground.

"NO! ADA!" I cry.

"I'll cover you!" Arwen offers as I run towards him.

I drop down to my knees.

"Ada, don't leave me." I say, tears streaming down my face.

He reaches up and wipes my tears.

"I love you, my little warrior." His words were slow.

"I love you, ada."

"Please don't die." I whisper.

"Y/n, live your life, Find someone to love, be the mighty warrior you always were. I love you."

He stops breathing and goes limp in my arms.

"NO!" I cry out

"NO!" I fling up, in tears.

Legolas shoots up. Immediately he notices my tears and cradles me.

"What happened?" He asks concerned.

"I had a bad dream, it was more of a flashback.." I say while crying.

He strokes my hair and kisses my forehead gently.

"What was it about, if I may ask?"

"My, ada.... It was a great battle, I was fighting alongside Arwen and-"

I start sobbing.

He pulls me closer. "Shh. It's alright."

"A-and he was shot...he didn't make it."

"Oh, Meleth nin, I'm so sorry. Why didn't you tell me?"

"I don't like people feeling sorry for me, and I didn't know how to tell you. It would've been weird if I said, 'oh, yeah, my dad died in battle, in front of me' when we first met."

He wipes my tears away and kisses me.

"Well, I know now, and I'm glad you told me instead of lying."

I manage to half smile at him.

He presses his forehead against mine.

"I love you." He tells me.

"And I you, nin Mel."

He kisses me.

We pull away and he gently brushes away any remaining tears.

"What do you say we go find the others?" He asks.

I nod.

He lifts me out of the bed bridal style and sits me down.

I hold his hand and we walk out the door.

Legolas leaves to go to the Armory.

I walk into Kylaney's room.

"So.... How was it?" Kylaney winks.

"Erm...I'll tell you later.."

"I suppose we should get ready, I want to see Aragorn all noble and stuff."

"Alright." I chuckle. "Suit up!"

She gets out of bed and freezes.

"WHO UNDRESSES ME WHILE I WAS UNCONSCIOUS?"

I laugh at her.

Kylaney glares at me. "You suck."

I smile. "I know."

I hand her some clothes.

We feel the ground rumbling.

"We should hurry or we'll be late." Kylaney informs me.

"Probably."

"And I wanna stab some-"

I run out the door. "Catch me!"

"Wha-" she scrambles to get ready. "DON'T START WITHOUT MEEEE"

"OKAY!"

A few minutes later we watch Legolas and Aragorn argue in sindrin.

"And we're supposed to be the negative ones." I facepalm.

"Well, I guess Aragorn is... positive?"

"That's my boy, if we're gonna die, we'll do it together."

I chuckle.

"I mean, fun way to go out right?"

Aragorn leaves.

"Mhm, d r a m a"

Kylaney sighs "Legolas is sad now."

I walk up to Legolas.

"Legolas, we're going to make it out of this."

I kiss him.

"But you should probably go apologize."

He nods. "You are right."

Legolas goes to apologize. I see them both smile, I smile as well.

A few moments later we hear a horn.

"That is no orc horn." Legolas declares.

"WAIT, is that?" Kylaney asks.

"IT IS." I respond.

We go outside.

"HALDIR, HALDIR, HALDIR." Kylaney chants.

We watch Aragorn tackle hug Haldir.
