Part 51

Anna's POV

I heard voices but all I could see was darkness. I was surrounded by blackness for miles. I ran and ran but there was no end.

"Baby" a voice says. "I miss you."

The voice was familiar, I have loved it for years. I have craved it for years. Cameron. He spoke to me with so much worry in his voice. But I couldn't see his face. I needed to see his face. God damnit Anna open your eyes. Open your eyes.

"Baby all I need is for you to open your eyes." He says grabbing my hand. His touch burned me. The burn of wanting it more. I loved his touch. I needed it. Squeeze his hand, I keep telling myself.

"I love you" he whispers kissing my forehead. When he lets go of my hand a small whimper falls from my mouth. Finally my body gives him a sign of life.

"Anna?" he questions holding my hand again. Squeeze it Anna. I squeeze a little.

"Anna baby I love you so much. And miss you." he says kissing my hand. Light, I see light. It's so bright compared to the darkness that has filled me. I look around and see my beautiful husband. I try to speak but a horrid noise comes from my mouth.

"Shh you don't have to talk. I'm just glad to see you are okay." he smiles at me. His smile is so beautiful. He is so beautiful.

"I- I" I try to say.

"Shh Harrison is fine. He can't play soccer for awhile but he will get over it." Cameron tells me. Harrison oh my god. I hurt my son. My baby. How could I ever do that? Tears started to form in my eyes. I hurt my son.

"Don't cry" Cameron says sitting down on the bed beside me. I started bawling.

"I-I hurt our son" I cry.

"It was an accident. He is okay. You are okay." He says.

"B-but he is hurt." I continue crying. "Do you hate me?"

"I could never hate you. Our son is fine." He says rubbing my arm.

"I love you." I whimper.

"I love you too." He smiles and kisses me.

Cameron's POV

As she spoke I entered an utopia. I never believed in magic until I met her. She is pure magic that sweeps in and puts me under this spell. She smells like petrichor, the smell after the rain. She reminds me of the calm after the storm. Yet she causes the storm but it's always so powerful. Even when she uitwaaiens, when she clears her mind, it's so peaceful and beautiful. She is my wonderwall. I'm madly deeply in love with her and I'm never going to let her go. I listened closely as the words slipped out of her mouth and into my ears. Even her yelling for the nurse cause she wanted more pain medication or to see Harrison or Lilly, every word had so much meaning, so much power over me.

It's been an hour and forty-two minutes since she woke up and I don't know if I'm being selfish or not but I still haven't told anyone that she has woken up. I just want her to myself for awhile with no one else to worry about but me and her. And I'm kind of glad I'm keeping her to myself for awhile because she hasn't stopped talking since she got her vocals back about an hour and twenty minutes ago.

"Cameron get my daughter and best friend in here right now." she yells at me. Oh shit will that went down hill fast. But I nod and stand up.

Walking down the long hallway it seems to get longer and longer every step. As I see my friends sitting there, head in hands. My head falls.

"Hailey. She wants to see you." I sit down beside Sam.

"SHE'S AWAKE" Hailey yells. I nod my head slowly and just sit there. Hailey jumps up and runs down the hall.
