"And then Crowley got away." Dean said from where he sat in the front seat as he explained what happened after him and Sam had gotten to where I was.

My entire body had bruises and cuts on it and I it hurt from flying into the wall and getting beat up pretty badly. I ran my fingers through my hair and leaned back in my seat before speaking again.

"So where are we headed now?" I asked looking forward at them both.

"The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City." Sam said while examining the gigantic map.

"Why?"

Sam and Dean looked at each other and hesitated. We're they actually debating on leaving out information? I swear to god if they do I might just-

"The angel and demon war? It's coming down a lot quicker than we thought. It's tonight. at midnight. At this church." Dean said almost somewhat nervous. I leaned back in my chair and stayed quiet for a while.

"Ok."

"O-ok?" Dean said as anger and confusion made its way into his voice. "All this is going down, with you right in the center of it and all you can say is "ok"?"

I nodded.

The drive was long and we still had about two and a half hours to go and I couldn't keep my eyes open. I laid down in the back and sleep found me almost immediately.

"Hello there." the voice made me jump and I realized where I was. By the looks of it, it was a library. Not your average town library, this one had ceilings at least 100 feet high with shelves and shelves lined with books.

I looked over at the man that had greeted me and was surprised at who was standing there.

I had recognized him from somewhere.

Where have I seen him before?

His dark hair was slightly gel'd back and he still had a slight beard going. Where had I seen him. Where.

"Please have a seat," he said with a welcoming voice as he gestured to an armchair while sitting across from me. I cautiously slid into the chair and felt the heat of the fireplace against my skin.

His face softened and a look of...something flooded across his face and he smiled slightly while he sat down.

"It's been so long since I've seen you," he said almost to himself, "you've grown up so much. I mean the last time I saw you, you were what? Like 4-5?"

I looked at him and furrowed my eyebrows before taking a deep breath.

"Who are you?" I asked as bravely as I could. Be like Sam and Dean. The man smiled and glanced down, he looked as if he didn't know how to respond.

"I'm your father."

My eyes widened in shock.

"What?" I breathed out barely above a whisper. My fingers found my necklace and nervously played with it.

"The war, it's going down tonight and your in the middle. Both sides want you and you can't go on either." He said quickly, almost scared.

"Then why don't you stop it." I said as anger built up inside of me and threatened to burst. All the anger I had felt against him was about to come out. For him abandoning me, not stopping my parents death, and not protecting me from the war. It was all just killing me on the inside.

A new expression flooded on his face.

Hurt.

"I can't do certain things..." he said very quietly.

"Why not? Your God." I spat out louder while moving forward in my chair.

He stayed quiet.

"You can't do what? Help me? You can't help me not die or get hurt? That's pathetic. Your a terrible God."

I jolted awake and felt the comfortable humming of the car running down the highway.

"You ok?" Sam asked turning to look at me while I rubbed my eye. I nodded and sat up.

"How much farther?" I asked quietly. While Dean turned the music down and Sam closed up the map.

"We're heading to a motel right now to get some rest." Dean answered while turning the steering wheel. Then I finally realized that we were in New York City. The buildings were tall and large and the sky reflected off the glass windows.

"Ok." I responded.

"We have to grab something from the car." Sam said while holding the door open and Dean and him walked out.

I stretched out on the couch and closed my eyes. Dread started to make me panic while I laid there and thought about tonight. I wasn't ready. I couldn't do thi-

"Happy birthday to you," Sam and Dean sang as they walked in. I looked up and saw Sam holding a cake with 15 candles on it and Dean held 4 presents.

I sat up while the cake was placed on the table and I walked up to them. The smile on my face was uncontainable as I listened to them sing.

"Make a wish." Dean said happily once their off pitched version of the song was finished.

I thought for a moment before taking a deep breath and blowing them all out but one before I blew that one out after.

"Thanks guys." I said to them while hugging them both.

"We knew your birthday was yesterday but we didn't have a good time to celebrate." Sam said while Dean started to cut my vanilla cake.

"Now let's eat cake." Dean said loudly as he placed a slice of cake on each plate before passing it out.

I smiled at them both before we all dug in. They had me open presents. Dean got me a new hunting knife, Sam got me my favorite book, Lord of the Flies, and bobby sent me a charm bracelet.

Maybe tonight wouldn't be too bad.

Idiot.
