I struggled to keep my eyes open as I drove. I was planning on crashing into a tree before admitting to seth I was tired.

The sun had set about two hours ago the lack of light made staying awake even more difficult. My grip on the leather wheel was beginning to slip as I drove on.

Stay awake.

Stay    awake.

Stay        Awake.

Stay              Awake.

Stay-

"You're tired." My head snapped up in his direction and I blinked.

"No... I'm- I'm fine. Really don't-"

"Yes you are. We're switching."

I blinked a few times, trying to keep my eyes from shutting. Maybe I was tired. But I'm not going to admit a single word about it to him.

"No. Really I'm fine. I'm not that tired. I can keep going a few miles so you don't have to worry about it because I've got it. Trust me. I can go another few hours and-"

"Leigh."

Seth's voice was soft but still managed to cut off my exhausted rambling. Letting out a sigh, I pulled the car over. We switched seats and I buckled myself into Seth's old spot.

"Wake me up an hour." I announced while he began driving.

"Two." He countered. I turned toward him and I watched. His face was illuminated by the head lights. His face had the hint of an amused smile on it.

Rain began to fall against the window and I turned the other way. The car was silent except for the sound of each raindrop pelting against the car.

It wasn't very long before I had drifted off.

I had multiple dreams. Each one was different and unconnected to the others.

The first one was of me being at home. My mom and dad where there. Before everything had happened. It was bits and pieces or memories. Eating dinner, watching movies, coming home after a trip, or just messing around. It was like a slideshow of the past. Everything was blurry and almost hard to make out.

Then I began dreaming of Seth. From before as well, when we first met. Right after that. At the beginning. It was still somewhat blurry, but it was easier to make out. It was short though.

And then I was dreaming of Jahze. He looked the same as before. The same dark hair, blue eyes, and smile. We weren't in the church but it a large and grand library. And then he was farther way from me, staring guiltily at the floor. After that he was lying next to me on the grass, staring at the stars. And then he was urgently griping my face in his hands. Saying something inaudible over and over again.

And then I was awake.
