Silence hung in the air and was almost suffocating. The emptiness of the church felt as though it was crammed with people.
It was only a few minutes until midnight and no one was here. The ticking of the clock was steady and I wanted to go destroy it.
Tick.
War.
Tock.
Blood.
Tick.
Death.
Tock.
Your going to die.
God. Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. Everything's going to be fine. Nothing bad will happen. We're all going to make it. We're all going to-
"Leigh? You ok?" Sam's voice shattered my thoughts and my head shot over in his direction.
"Oh um, yea." I said quietly as I nodded.
What if things went wrong. What if Sam or dean... no. They'll be fine. They'll be fine. The angles will win and the demons will lose. This wouldn't be happening if I was never born. The only reason this war is happening because there is another child of God. If only I never existed then I-
My thoughts were shattered by the loud ringing coming from the clock signaling that it was now midnight.
There was a rustle of wings and two groups of people appeared.
The first was the demons. Crowley stood in the front of seven demons. One of them was a tall and large man that was heavily built and was the opposite of the other man who was slightly scrawny and had scars covering his face. There were three women there, one was tiny and truthfully very pretty and the other two were very muscular. The other man was very tall and looked different than the rest in some sort of way that I couldn't place.
The other group was being led by Castiel. He had a group of five Angels. Three very strong, muscular, and large men and two strongly built women. Everyone had an angel blade on them either in their hand or tucked away.
I gripped my blade tighter as Sam, Dean, and I all stood up and looked at them all. They paid no attention to us but stared at each other.
"What?" Crowley asked smugly, "No god?" He raised his eyebrows in Castiel's direction and Cas stared at him.
"I'm here on his behalf."
"Ah and we have the three amigos here as well" Crowley said jokingly as he looked at us. "Leigh, you seem to be doing better than the last time we met."
I stayed quiet and glared at him. There was a silence that hung in the air and no one dared to break it.
"So," Crowley said in a mocking like tone, "when are we going to start this little shindig?"
The Angels had a look on there face of un-amusement while the demons wore a blank expression.
"You can't win." Cas said in his gruff voice as he puffed out his chest slightly, trying to look more intimidating. It didn't work.
In a blink of an eye people were attacking one another. Sam and Dean rushed past me and joined in. I stood there, unsure of what to do.
Do something.
C'mon.
Help you idiot.
I gripped the blade in my hand and looked for someone to take on. I counted all five Angels and only six demons. The tall man from before was missing.
