You scanned your eyes in the crowd. Who did you even expect? The song then changed into a slow one and suddenly you and Kaveh were dancing together. "Are you having fun?" You nodded, maybe you did but there was something missing.

After Kaveh, Tighnari was the one who danced with you next all you talked about is How Collei is doing and you couldn't help but smile. After Tighnari some of your students under your darshan were next all of them wished you a happy birthday and surprisingly they did it with so much consideration. You can't help but look at Kaveh whenever someone wishes you a happy birthday, How could you be so lucky to have a brother such as him?

The girls were next; All of them danced with you, Faruzan being first, Layla being the second and followed by Nilou and Collei up until your students in the Darshan. Unexpectedly Yuqi and Nahida as well as the traveler were there so they joined you for a dance still there wasn't any sign of him. Finally it was yours and Cyno's turn he smiled as he took your hand kissing the back of your hand, The people was in Awe upon seeing you two, "I wish you well Y/N." He said, You smiled at him. "Thank you, Cyno.. Really."

"Cyno.. I need to tell you something." Cyno didn't mutter a word but he continued to dance with you. "Cyno-" He gaze on your eyes, His scarlet iris staring at you with so much adoration. "Let me hold you just for a few more minutes Y/N." Your lips pursed in a thin line. "Y/N, did you know?" You looked up to meet with his scarlet eyes. "Since the day you waved and smiled at me, I knew you would be my Achilles Heel." Your eyes widened.

"Cyno.." Cyno looked away bitterly. "But no matter how hard I try, I'll never be him. And I don't want to force you that my feelings for you might burdened you." He closed his eyes and smiled as the two of you continued to dance; Others didn't know what conversation you two were having but still they were in Awe. "I'm sorry, Cyno." You said as you looked down. "What's the long face for? Go for it." He chuckled, "B-But.." You said as you looked at him hesitantly, "Y/N you'll never know unless you confront him yourself."

"Thank you Cyno, And I'm sorry for hurting you like this.." You apologized, The music ended and Cyno bowed at you as he gave you a nod. You nodded back as you ran away outside to see Kaveh standing waiting for you,

"Y/N, Acceptance is the great thing you could ever feel. Running away from your fears and feelings will only make you fall into the depths of darkness and void. So this early, face it." You hugged your brother, "Go, he's in the gate at the city."

You nodded you didn't care anymore, You ran and ran until your toes had no more strength in them, You clicked your tongue as you got your shoes and threw them away running in barefoot. As you reached the city there you saw him on the big tree, holding his book and gazing over the moonlight. "Alhaitham!" You said, panting. Alhaitham's eyes widened he stood up but you approached him, mad. "Y-Y/N?"

"You know, I always question myself how did I fall for you, Your arrogant nature and your blunt personality. You were the total opposite of how I dreamed of a man to marry but here I am, I fell inlove with you!" You exclaimed, Alhaitham couldn't process what was happening.

"You always make me falter."

"You always make me do something so stupid." You continued to rant over to him as you smacked his chest trying to punch him but because of your running you didn't have the strength.

"I tried many things to forget you. But why can't I?" You said, There was silence but then you felt yourself blush at his response, It wasn't words rather he cupped your cheeks as he slowly planted a kiss on your lips slowly. You were shocked but you returned the kiss. The kiss lasted a lot longer that both of you panted, After the kiss broke he laughed. It wasn't the same as he did you felt It was different, "Y/N, A klutz." He spoke.

"She's a klutz, Doesn't listen, Reckless, Makes me worry but.."

"I love her." Your eyes widened as you blushed. "I love her so much that it drives me crazy, Well maybe I really am crazy." You threw yourself on his embrace, He smiled a little as he returned the hug.

What he did next put you into more shock, He took your hand and kissed it as he slipped in a ring, "This is a promise ring, I didn't know you'd come here so I didn't prepare a present. But I did got you a pres-" You shushed him as you giggled, "You got me a book as a present, Thank you."

"This is different, This is a promise ring." You tilted your head as you listened, "What Promise?" You said, "A promise that this ring will be replaced with an engagement ring soon enough." You couldn't help but giggle at his statement.

You both gazed at the moonlight hands intertwined, You looked at him he looked at you, But this time it was different. "Y/N, would you be my lover?" He asked. You faced him, "All my life!" You agreed as you hugged him again, And he took your chin and gave you a kiss on lips.

That day felt that you were feee from the shackles of the past, You felt free, safe and protected. You had friends, your brother, and now your lover.

"Happy Birthday Y/N." He said, That phrase didn't sound like nightmare anymore for you.
