Chapter 2- Cellphones please? No... please I'm BEGGING YOU!
My slumber was interrupted by a rather pleasant noise, well song.
" Say something if you're feeling the vibe"
"Say something baby don't be so shy"
"Say something cause you're all in my head like woooaaaaah yeah yeah"
"I'm sorry Austin Mahone.." I mumbled and reached over and slammed the alarm off! Even Austin Mahone can't make me feel good about Mondays.
I got off my comfy bed and went and got dressed, a pale pink shirt, a cropped leather jacket, some skinny jeans, and some leather boots.
After my morning routines I went into my mom's room to tell her bye, but of course she's asleep since she got back home an hour ago. It may be odd that I'm saying goodbye to someone that's sound asleep, but hey, I miss my mom.
I ran down stairs, grabbed a granola bar, and ran out the doors. Might as well get a head start on all the cellphone collecting...
I got into my dream car, a Mercedes Bens, and drove to school. I got this baby on my sixteen birthday, and I've loved it to death since. My parents were able to afford this because my mom was a surgeon and my dad is a company ambassador. So to be honest, we were quite wealthy. Don't get me wrong, we don't live in a stinkin mansion, we live in an average size house and I like it here. It just has a homey feeling to it that a mansion would never have.
I pulled up to the school and ran for the entrance. I had about 45 minutes before class starts, so 45 minutes to collect.
Determined I ran up to the first person I saw, she was at her locker rummaging through her stuff awkwardly. Luckily she was in my French class so it's not like she was a complete stranger or anything.
' Hey Amy!" I called as I slowed down my speed.
She looked up in surprise and paper from her locker fell to the ground, " Oh hey Tammy..." uncertainty pass through her expression, " uhmm... why exactly are you talking to me?"
What does this girl even mean? Is it wrong to talk to some one?
"Uhmm, why do you mean by that?." I replied confused, stopping in front of her.
She shifted her feet and looked at me, forgetting about the papers, "Well.." she began, " first I've been in you class since September and its now what, May? This is the first time you have actually bothered to talk to me."
What? Really? That's not true.. I've talked to her..back in... I came up blank.
Yep, she's right. Realization hit me and my eyes widened, " Oh my gosh, you're right. I'm s--" but before I could finish she cut me off.
" I don't need your apology Tammy, what's done is done, now what do you want from me?" she said through a gritted teeth, eyes hardening, her red hair looked like fire...
I took a step back, sheesh, straight forward much, but I'm thankful for her bluntness. We've would've been "talking" for 10 minutes before I even have the guts to ask her. I cleared my throat.
"Can I have your phone?" wow, that did not sound right.
Now it's her turn to be confused, " What?"
"Your cellphone? You know the thing that you call with?" I said.
Irritation flashed through her eyes, " I heard what you said. I just wanted to know why."
Should I tell here what I'm going to do with her phone? Well, honestly is the best policy. I picked a safer path."Reason..."
Amy narrowed her eyes at me," You know what, I don't have time for your little games Tammy." Then she slammed her locker and walked away.
I was shocked, then I ran to catch up to her nearly slipping. " No, please Amy, it's super important."
I saw her roll her eyes at the corner of my eyes, " Apparently not important enough to tell me what's its for."
"Well uhmm.." I need a reason why... Aha! I saw a poster with a puppy on it with a sad face, on the hallway walls. " I need it to help save the puppies because they say that for every phone call, they're going to donate a dollar for the puppies."
"Right." She said sarcastically, opening the bulky library door.
Darn, this is harder then I thought..
"You mean you don't want to save the puppies?" I asked as I followed Amy through the library doors. I hope she buys it.
"You're such a horrible liar Tammy." She turned around and glared at me, " Considering the fact that I was the one who put those fliers up."
Is it the right time to say oops? Amy picked up a random book, a thesaurus. Oh come on, can she be even more obvious that she's trying to ignore me?
"Oh..." My eyes widened. Crap.
She slammed her book, excuse me, thesaurus, and glared at me with all the hatred she had. It didn't faze me since I deal with hate all the time.
"Get lost."
"Is this usually how you give people your first impression?" I asked annoyed she's acting this way. I do not want to start off my morning aruging.
"It's none of your concerns Tammy." She exclaimed taken aback.
"Fine." I didn't even blink. I slowly smiled at her, " You know what? Fine, keep your phone. I don't have time for this."
Talk about rudness.
Then I walked away with my back straight, not looking back.
This is ridiculous, actually this whole plan is ridiculous. What was I thinking last night? I shook my head and continued to walk out the library to the already crowded hallway.
No. I will get those tickets.
