you yelled at her
for how messy her room was,
the clothes lying on her floor,
how many cups were piled up on her nightstand,
and how horrible her hygiene was.
how she used to be such a good student with straight A's,
and now she's struggling to keep B's.
you called her
lazy and disgusting,
fat and ugly,
worthless and gross..
you paid attention to those things,
but what about
the things that actually mattered?
you weren't aware of the fact
that she wasn't eating,
was throwing up multiple times everyday.
she was hiding her arms and legs,
wore the same clothes everyday.
stayed up till morning because she couldn't sleep,
and slept till noon.
you weren't listening to the songs,
with such sad lyrics,
that filled her room with despair,
playing on her speakers everyday.
i wish you understood.
