“Bella? Can we talk to you?” Meredith asks as her and Teddy wheel over to us.

“Sure.” I say as they lead me to their room. After they get back in their beds, they look at me.

“What did you want to talk to me about?” I ask, curious.

“We're sorry. For everything we said. We know we should have said something earlier, but we know you didn't want to talk to us.” Teddy says, looking at her hands.

“I forgive you. I was making a big deal out of it and I'm sorry. I was just under so much stress.” I tell them, going to hug them.

“So, what happened between you and Mark?” They ask. After I tell them what happened, they look mad.

“He said that?” Teddy asks, shocked.

“Yes. And then, when I was pushing Addy around in a wheelchair, we passed him and he and I just stared at each other. Then, dad came and pinned him to the wall, threatening him. He was pulling his fist back, ready to punch him, when I got between them yelling for it to stop. He finally let him go and Mark asked for my apology. But, I just ran off to an on-call room. I guess mom found me, because she came in and held me and talked to me while I thought about what to do.” I explain to them.

“So, what did you decide to do about it?” Meredith asks.

“I've decided that I'm going to talk to him and see if he really meant what he said.” I told them, getting up and heading for the door when I see him by the desk talking to Jackson and Alex.

“Can we talk?” I ask him when I finally get over there. He looks at the others and leads us to the waiting room to talk.

“What?” He asks, looking at the floor.

“What you said about Lilly and everything else, did you mean it?” I ask, not looking at him.

“Bella-”

“Answer me. Did you mean what you said?” I ask, hoping he says no.

“Not all of it.”

“Which part did you not mean then?” I ask, confused.

“The part about how we can't adopt another baby.” He says, reaching over to take my hand in his, but I slowly pull away.

“Why not?” I ask, trying to stay calm.

“Because we're never home and we just had Lilly.”

“Do you want to?” I ask, wandering what his answer will be.

“So much.” He replies, making me look at him.

“Then let's.”

“Bella, we'r-”

“We're never home. I know. But that didn't stop us from trying to get pregnant, did it?” I ask, my voice getting a little higher.

“No, but we can barely take care of a week old newborn. How would it be taking care of a 6 month old at the same time?” He asks, looking back at me.

“Can we at least try? I mean, if it doesn't work out we could-” I start, not able to say the rest without tearing up a little.

“I'll tell you what. We can try it. If it doesn't work, then it doesn't work.” He says, lifting my chin back up to look at him.

“Really?” I ask, smiling a little.

“Really.” He says, smiling back at me. I smile even bigger and hug him. When we pull apart, he pulls me into a kiss, which I gladly accept. Then, we get up and walk to Zola's room. When we get in there, I see that she's awake, so I pick her up and put her in Mark's arms.

“This is Zola.” I say, looking between them and smiling. The second he sees her, he smiles too, making her smile and give a small laugh.

“She's so little.” He says, looking back to me.

“It's because of the Spina Bifida. Since she's been an orphan since birth, it was never treated. That's why she's here.” I explain to him.

“How severe is hers?” He asks, worried.

“Since it was never treated, it's Myelomeningocele. She also has Hydrocephalus. That's where Amelia will come in.” I tell him.

“Will she be alright?” He asks, making me smile at how protective he already is of her.

“Of course. She is my patient after all.” I tell him, smiling a little.

“I can't believe someone would leave her as soon as she was born, especially with this.” He says.

“They were already going to give her up before they found out that she had it. When they found it, they dropped her off quicker though.” I explain to him, looking down at her in his arms.

“We can still adopt her, right?” I ask him, hoping he still says yes.

“Of course! Why wouldn't we?” He asks, smiling, making me laugh a little.

“I told you you'd love her.” I say, giving him a peck on the cheek.

“I know. You were right.” He says, smiling at me.

“I just hope that her and Lilly get along in the end.” My smile fading a little as I say this.

“If not, then they'll have to deal with it.” He says, chuckling a little. After a little longer of standing and talking, Zola goes to sleep. So, we put her back in her crib and walk out of her room.

“Dr. Sloan, can I borrow you for a second?” Jackson Avery, a resident, asks Mark.

“Sure. I'll see you later love.” He says, giving me a quick kiss and walking away with Jackson. Not knowing what to do, I turn around and walk to Addy's room. When she sees me she smiles at me, while I smile back.
