“Stop running!” hisses Arizona, trying to make Bella slow down from her marathon on the stairs.

“Slow down? Slow down!? Mark or Lilly could get shot by the damn shooter in the hospital, not to mention my parents, or Addy, or Teddy or Meredith or Torres. Don’t tell me to slow down,” answers Bella angrily.

“Being pissed at me is not going to help the situation Bella. We have to be careful, like you said there is a shooter. We cannot land ourselves in his path unthinkingly. I do care about what might happen to Calliope, but we have to be careful, not to mention strategic.”

“Why the hell do we have to be strategic?!”

“If we land up in front of the shooter, considering you are running with no direction?”

“Run”

“It isn’t that simple Isabella Sloan! He has a gun, so running doesn’t solve anything!”Exclaims Arizona exasperatedly, yanking Bella to a stop behind the door to the Plastics door.

Bella finally comes to a halt and turns to look at Arizona, worry in her eyes.

“Fine,” Bella relents, “What do you think we should do?”

“Well, definitely not run unless we have no choice. Bullets are much faster than we are,” says Arizona with a weak smile. “We try to be careful, sneaky. It takes a few minutes to reach the plastics wing from here. If we do end up in front of the shooter, we try to delay him, stop him. Sometimes that works, if the shooter is here to just release anger.”

“What if he isn’t here to release anger? What if he is here for a personal vendetta against someone?”

“Have you ever had fight training?”

“Yes”

“Me too, so that’s good. We could take him down”

“What happened to him having a gun Arizona?!”

“True, but we could try. There is one shooter and two of us. We could distract and catch him when he puts his guard down. Just wait for my signal Bella. Okay?”

“Okay. Now let’s go”

Arizona and Bella quietly step into the hallway and tip toe towards the closest turn. Arizona discreetly pokes her head around the corner to see if anybody is there.

“It’s clear,” she whispers and they start walking again.

They walk for a few minutes, carefully; making sure the shooter is not in sight.

“We are almost there,” whispers Bella, and the two pick up their speed.

“Stop,” comes a cold, hard but familiar voice, with the unmistakable click of the safety of a gun being pulled off.

Arizona and Bella give each other terrified looks, but turn around and hasp in synchronization when they see the shooter and the gun pointing straight at them
