Interns...

“Well, I need to go check on Lilly.. I'll be back later.” I tell her, giving her a hug, then walking out the room. I go down the hall, walking towards the nursery where Lilly is. On my way, I overhear some interns, including Angela Thompson, the one from earlier, talking. I slow down to hear what they're talking about.

“Dr. Sloan's so good looking. I wonder if he's married.” Thompson says, pointing over to Mark who's standing with Derek, Sam, and Henry.

“I know. The other ones with him are too, but they're married.” Another says. I smile, walking past them, making sure to stare at Angela while going by. When she notices me staring, she lowers her gaze to the ground while the others look back at me.

“Why's she staring at you?” One of them asks her.

“She's the attending I told you about.” She says, looking back to me.

“Come on. Let's go talk to the good looking Doctors.” I hear one say as they rush past me and go talk to Sam, Mark, Henry, and Derek. I stop and watch for a few minutes, smiling when Mark's face turns up in disgust when they try to flirt with him. After a few seconds more, I decide to go over there.

“Hi honey.” I say, giving him a quick peck on the lips.

“Hey sweetheart.” He says, wrapping his arm around me. I look over at the interns to see them staring at me wide-eyed.

“Did I forget to introduce myself earlier? I'm Dr. Bella Sloan.” I say, smiling at their expressions and looking at Thompson, who glares at me.

“D-Dr. Sloan?” She asks, shocked.

“That's what I said, isn't it?” I ask, glaring back at her. Mark looks at the two of us and chuckles lightly.

“I thought you were taking Addison to see Zola.” Mark says, changing the subject.

“I did. We had to come back so she could get blood taken, only to find this intern waiting on us with an 8 gauge needle. I paged Charlotte and she told the intern to leave and she did it. I was just on my way to see Lilly” I explain to him.

“Oh. Mind if I come with you?” He asks, smiling a little.

“Why would I mind? She's your daughter too.” I ask, laughing a little. When I turn back to the interns, I see them still staring at us, shocked.

“Shouldn't you be off screwing something up? I ask. They finally stop staring and run off. I turn to Derek, Sam, and Henry to find them staring at me, amused.

“What?” I ask.

“I don't think we've ever seen you that mean before.” Derek says, hugging. I smile again and hit him playfully.

“Come on Mark. Let's go see Lilly.” I say, pulling him towards the nursery. When Lilly sees us, she starts crying. I run over to her and scoop her up in my arms. She instantly calms down and looks up at me.

“Hey baby. Mommy's missed you.” I say to her, even though she doesn't understand. I turn to Mark and hand hand Lilly over to him.

“Do you think they'd let me take her for about 30 minutes? I'm on break.” I ask him.

“I don't see why not.” He replies. All of a sudden his pager goes off. He looks at it and hands Lilly back over to me.

“I gotta go. There's a patient that just came in with 3rd degree burns all over his body. I'll see you later.” He says, giving me a kiss and walking out. After a few more minutes, I walk out, with Lilly still in my arms, and head to Addy's room. When I walk in, she smiles, but smiles even bigger when she sees Lilly in my arms. I look around and notice that Charlotte and Amelia are in the room, along with the 4 interns from earlier.

“Hey. I'm on break and figured that you'd want to see Lilly.” I tell Addison, walking over and placing Lilly in her arms.

“Of course I do.” She says, rocking her back and forth. I turn to Amelia and Charlotte, who are looking at Lilly and smiling.

“How's she doing?” I ask them.

“Great. I think all of them can be discharged next week.” She says, smiling. They come over and hug me. I look over at Addy holding Lilly and smile even bigger, if possible. Then, Lilly starts to cry again. I reach over and pick her up. She calms down after a minute or two. I look out of the corner of my eye and see that the interns are staring at me.

“I think she missed you.” Charlotte says, looking down at Lilly in my arms.

“Do you want to hold her? You're one of the only one's that hasn't yet.” I ask.

“Sure.” She says, I put Lilly in her arms.

“Hey. Hey baby.” She coos, smiling.

“So, when are you and Archer gonna have one?” I ask, curious.

“I don't know. I want one, but at the same time I don't.” She tells me.

“What about Archer?” I ask.

“He hasn't said anything about it.” She says, looking at me.

“Oh.”

“Dr. Sloan.” Christina says, coming in, along with Izzy.

“Yes?” I ask.

“Dr. Robbins said that she's moving your African patient's surgery up to today. It's in 2 hours.” She says.

“Ok. Thank you Yang, Stevens.” I say.

“Stevens.” I call as they start to walk out the door.

“Yes Dr. Sloan?” She answers, turning back to face me.

“Can you do me a favor and take Lilly back to the nursery?” I ask.

“Of course.” She says, walking over to Charlotte and getting Lilly. When they leave, I turn back to Addy and give her a hug.

“I gotta go prepare for surgery. I'll see you later.” I tell her, walking out of the room and look for Maek to tell him that Zola's surgery is being moved up. I go to the OR board to see which OR he's in. After wards, I go to OR 2 to tell him. I walk in to find him yelling at an intern.

“Mark.” I call to him, making him stop mid-sentence and look at me. His face instantly goes soft.

“What's wrong?” He asks, knowing that I'd never see him during surgery unless it was important.

“Zola's surgery's being moved up and it's in 2 hours.” I tell him.

“Oh. I'm almost done here. I'll go see her when I finish.” He says, proceeding the surgery.

“Ok.” I say, walking out and heading towards Zola's room. I go over to her crib and pick her up as soon as I hear her crying
