Mabel was still skeptical as she stayed with the children. Even as they exited the car and stared up at the house in front of them. She just wanted to keep them out of harm's way.
Hopper glanced back at them when he realized they weren't following him, "I'm not playing a trick on you."
At that moment, Nancy bolted out of the house and rushed toward her brother. She hadn't shown him this raw emotion in so long as she hugged him, "Mike. Oh, my God. Mike! I was so worried about you."
Mike was in a state of shock as well as he mumbled, "Yeah, uh, me too."
Nancy took a second to compose herself when she finally saw the mystery girl that has been involved with all of this. Out of all of the things she could have said, "Is that my dress?" Was not one that anyone had expected.
"Mabel!" Marcus and Burgundy went running out of the house at full speed as they cried out at the top of their lungs at the sight of their friend. They moved even faster than Nancy had, practically knocking Mabel off of her feet as they grappled onto her.
"Mabel, oh, my God!"
"Uh-" Mabel, for some reason, had expected them to not care where she was.
Burgundy pulled back from her, "Man, we are so glad to see that you are okay!"
Mabel sniffled a bit and pulled them back into the hug, "You guys can't even imagine the day I've had with these kids."
Burgundy chuckled, "I think we can top you."
"I got chased by a giant monster in an alternate dimension."
Mabel blinked and gaped over at Marcus, "What the fuck have I missed?"
"Too much."
Marcus gave her a side hug, "God, I'm so sorry that you've been left out. I've missed you too much."
Mabel melted a little bit at the mention of an apology and smiled, "You've missed some things with me too. I think I'm a dad."
Burgundy huffed out, "I'm sorry what?"
"Well, Daphne's the mom friend... so that makes me the dad since we're madly in love and married."
Marcus laughed softly, "Does she know that?"
"Deep down she does."
Burgundy and Marcus shared a look with one another before they all went inside of the house. As they all sat down together as Mike explained everything that he knew of the situation from his side. Burgundy and Marcus couldn't help but just stare at Eleven because they could not believe someone had superpowers. Even after what they've been through these past couple of days.
Mike sat and re-explained what Mr. Clark had told them prior, "Okay, so, in this example, we're the acrobat." He pointed at the paper with his red marker, "Will, Daphne, Barbara, and that monster, they're this flea. And this is the Upside Down, where they're hiding. Mr. Clarke said the only way to get there is through a rip of time and space."
