Burgundy and Marcus were seated beside on the swings together while they left Jonathan and Nancy alone. Marcus tilted his head to the side and glanced at Burgundy, "You think we can pull this off."
"To be honest, I've got absolutely no clue." Burgundy admitted to him as she swung her legs with the momentum of the swing, "Are you nervous at all?"
"I'm worried." Marcus answered, "We have seen all of those people from that lab. They can just kill us and cover it up."
"I don't think it'll be that easy." Burgundy said but she didn't entirely believe herself, "I hope."
"Wow. Comforting." Marcus furrowed his brows and watched Nancy speak with Jonathan, "Do... Is it a good thing that I'm happy Nancy and Steve broke up?"
"You're Nancy's best friend and want what is best for her." Burgundy stopped swinging so aggressively, "Plus... there's always been something there, right?"
Marcus continued to watch them, "Yeah... It's not like we can do anything to push them together."
"I don't think we'll have to do anything." Burgundy hummed and stopped completely when she looked over Nancy and Jonathan. "Marcus, please laugh at what I said."
"What?"
"Laugh."
Marcus laughed and spoke, "Why did you make me do that?"
"I think we're all being watched." Burgundy informed him as she got off of the swing and faced him, "We need to go to them now and leave."
Marcus jumped off and walked with Burgundy, "Oh, my God. Oh, my God."
"Stop."
Nancy got up, "You see it too?"
"We do."
Jonathan walked them all to his car and they piled inside. He kept trying to get it to start but the car kept stalling. Everyone gasped and jumped as a man knocked on the window.
"Trouble with your car, miss? I can give you four lifts if you like."
Marcus looked over his shoulder to see that someone was behind their car. And as all teens looked off in different directions, they realized that they were completely surrounded.
"You sure you don't need that ride?"
They were given a ride all the way to the Hawkins Laboratory. They were brought into a room together and just left there. Marcus couldn't stop tapping his foot against the ground to keep him calm. While Burgundy was busy screaming up at the camera in the room.
"Hey!" Nancy finally stood up and glared at the camera, "Hey, assholes! Let us out of here!"
"Oh!" Dr. Owens walked into the room as he recognized the entire group, "Not very pleasant in here, is it? Sorry about that. Hospitality's not our strong suit. You know, scientists and all." No one spoke to him, all just glared, "Yeah. Okay. You up for a little walk? I'm assuming you're behind me."
