"How was your winter break?"

Daphne almost did not hear what Marcus had asked as she stared at the window in the school cafeteria. She blinked and turned her head, "What?"

Burgundy glanced up from her food, "How was your winter break?"

"It was okay." She mumbled.

Marcus looked down at Daphne's barely eaten lunch before glancing over at Burgundy, "So you didn't do anything fun or eventful?"

"I helped Hopper clean out his cabin." Daphne stated as she brought her hands under the table. She started to pick at the end of her sweat, "I'm still staying at his trailer."

"So, he just wanted a cabin to get away from you?"

Daphne shrugged her shoulders, "If he needs guy time, who cares?"

"How's the food?"

"It's fine."

Burgundy looked at Marcus again, "Where is Mabel?"

"She said she was going to check out Club Rush." Daphne stated without taking her eyes away from the window, "Hence why the cafeteria is actually pretty quiet for once."

"Were you thinking about checking out any clubs?"

"I'm not really in the mood to deal with others."

Burgundy sighed through her nose, "I mean... it might be good for you to... get out there."

"No."

Marcus cleared this throat, "Uh... I was thinking about joining drama when I get an extracurricular space."

"Cool."

"Do-"

"Guys!" Mabel came running over and was holding a t-shirt in her hands, "Guess which club I just joined?"

"French Club."

"Ha ha-" Mabel fake laughed before she took the seat beside Daphne. She held the shirt up and squealed.

Burgundy stared at it and furrowed her brows, "Hellfire Club? What is that?"

"The French club." Marcus pressed even further, which earned a kick from under the table by Mabel. "Ow!"

"It's a DnD club."

"Oh!" Marcus gasped loudly, "There's a fucking DnD club! No way, we have to tell Dustin when we get home. That'll make him stoked for high school."

"I was originally looking for the Drama club. This club didn't even have a table. They were like out there just haranguing people. I don't think the whole promotion to the masses was a thing the club wanted to do."

"And you joined?"

"Yes. I approached one of the members and asked if they needed more to their party. And he seemed pretty excited that I knew what I was talking about." Mabel was practically bouncing in her seat.
