"You are staying with the Wheeler, am I correct?" Mrs. Pellegrini questioned as she peered over at Daphne from above the frame of her glasses, who just nodded her head slowly, "Perfect, I can have Miss Wheeler escort you to your classes."
Daphne winced a bit but only nodded her head again. She definitely got the idea that Nancy was not a huge fan of having her around.
Mrs. Pellegrini went through a filing cabinet as she went through different drawers to search for schedules, "I believe that I can have Tina Cline show you two juniors around. And... as for you, Miss Zaire, let's see... Cindy Berman is in the same grade as you. Let's have them all come here..."
Mabel dropped down in the chair beside Daphne and pressed her forehead against her shoulder, "I'm tired."
Marcus nodded his head and rubbed his eyes, "Yeah, honestly... I wish we could just... not go to school."
"If we were imagining all of this..." Burgundy started as she crossed her arms over her chest, "Then I would definitely not be in school."
Mrs. Pellegrini was looking over all of their schedules as she waited for the students she called to arrive at the administration's office. "Okay, kids, since you no longer have records of your schooling-" With a look the group glanced at one another, "-We are unable to allow you to have an elective course this year, but once everything is in order you will be able to choose next year."
"Wait-" Marcus gaped as his jaw dropped in horror, "So we're only in academic classes?"
"Yes."
Marcus twitched as he dropped his head against Daphne's other shoulder with a fake exaggerated sob, "Oh, man..."
Nancy was the first to arrive in the office and she had immediately locked eyes with Daphne before facing the desk, "Is there something wrong, Mrs. Pellegrini?"
"Oh, you're not in any trouble." Mrs. Pellegrini gestured toward where Daphne was seated, "It seems that Daphne shares most classes with you so I would like you to show her around for today."
Nancy inhaled deeply and tensed her jaw with a tight smile, "Of course, could I see her schedule?" She tentatively took the paper and exhaled, "Yeah, I could show her. She shares some classes with Barb too, so I'm sure she can help with those."
"Great." Mrs. Pellegrini looked at Daphne, "Okay, Miss Blake, I hope you enjoy your first day."
"Thank you..." Daphne murmured before following behind Nancy.
Mabel glanced over at Marcus, "She was definitely not excited."
"That Nancy girl doesn't seem to like Daphne." Burgundy kept her arms crossed over her chest, "That's ridiculous."
"I mean, it is definitely not fair but I wouldn't be super excited to share my home with a complete stranger."
Cindy Berman trotted in the front office, "What's up Mrs. Pellegrini?"
