Daphne couldn't really get much sleep. She had maybe a couple of hours actually completely passed out. She rolled out of bed and made herself some coffee. She glanced over at Hopper as he was making breakfast.
She grabbed her clothes for school and sat down with a long sigh. Daphne shimmied her clothes on with Hopper's back to her.
"What's for breakfast?"
Hopper glanced back as she poured herself some coffee, "French toast."
Daphne just nodded her head and sipped at the caffeine. She craned her neck to see El leave the room with a white sheet over her head with little eye holes poked out of it. Daphne giggled softly at how cute she looked and even ruffled her head through the sheet.
Hopper turned his head and jumped in shock at her sudden appearance, "Oh, Jesus."
"Ghost." Eleven stated.
"Yeah." Hopper nodded his head slowly, "I can see that."
"Halloween."
Hopper glanced at Daphne and then back at the food, "Sure is." He set the skillet down on the table, "But right now, it's breakfast, okay? Come on, let's eat."
"They wouldn't see me."
Hopper placed a few plates on the table, "Who wouldn't see you?"
"The bad men."
"What are you talking about?"
Eleven raised her hands a bit, "Trick or treat."
Hopper completely paused and eyed Daphne as though this was her idea, "You want to go trick-or-treating?" Eleven nodded her head and made a small shuffling sound from under the sheet, "You know the rules."
"Yes, but-" Hopper began to move Eleven to her seat.
"Yeah, so you know the answer."
"No, but they wouldn't see me."
"No. Hey." Hopper grabbed her shoulders, "I don't care."
"But they wouldn't see me." Eleven pleaded again.
Daphne sighed through her nose, "Come on, Hopper. She'll be wearing the sheet, no one could tell it was her."
"I don't care, all right?" Hopper had snapped at both of them, "You go out there, ghost or not, it's a risk. We don't take risks. All right? They're stupid, and-"
"We're not stupid." Eleven's voice was a little harsher as she said this, something that Daphne clearly caught.
"Exactly. Now, you take that off, sit down and eat. Your food's getting cold."
Daphne gently took the sheet off of Eleven and gave her a sad smile as she folded it up in a bundle. Eleven dropped in her chair, crossed her arms, and pouted. Daphne looked at Hopper and saw he was doing nothing. So she kicked his ankle and caused him to grunt.
