Mabel adjusted her clothes as she glanced over at Marcus, who seemed to be used to wearing such nice things. He had told her to dress nicely since it was important to Nancy for them to impress the Hollands. Marcus had already gone multiple times while this was Mabel's first time. Though, it did feel nice for Marcus to not be a third wheel again.

"Okay." Steve looked down at Nancy from the front door, his eyes had wavered to Mabel momentarily as he spoke, "Ready?"

"Yeah." Nancy's voice was unsure, though Marcus knew just how much these nights mattered to her, but he also knew just how much these nights would cause such terrible anxiety. It took everything in Nancy's bones to not tell the Hollands about what really happened to Barb, and it hurt knowing that she knew and couldn't tell them.

Marcus just stared at Nancy for a moment, he wanted nothing more than to be able to tell her that everything would be perfectly fine but he knew that would be a lie. He couldn't tell Nancy anything like that because he wasn't even certain of it himself.

Meanwhile, Steve's eyes found their way to Mabel's, he held an uncertainty within them as well, but Mabel just gave him a reassuring smile which definitely calmed his nerves. He sighed out, "Okay." His finger pressed down on the buzzer, indicating to the Holland's that they had arrived.

Marsha, Barb's mother, opened the door and smiled kindly at them, "Hello. You must be Mabel." She took her hand, "I've heard a lot about you, only good things from those three."

"I hope so." Mabel laughed out nervously.

"Come on in. Come on in." Marsha ushered the group of four inside, a large smile plastered on her face. The kind mother loved having a full dinner table, it made her feel whole for just a moment.

It was Mabel's first time inside of the Holland house and it actually made her feel rather terrible, especially when she saw all the photos of Barb. She bit down on her lip and took a seat at the table. Steve and Nancy sat next to each other, while Mabel and Marcos sat on either side of them. This was already feeling oddly uncomfortable.

"I'm so sorry I didn't cook." Marsha whispered as she set down a couple of buckets of KFC, "I was gonna make that baked ziti you guys like so much, but I just forgot about the time, and before you know it, Oh my God, it's five o'clock."

"It's fine." Nancy shrugged it off with a timid smile, "Right?"

Steve was already digging into the food as he took some mashed potatoes, "I love KFC."

"Yeah." Mabel agreed as she took the container from Steve so she could grab her own, "Any food is good food."

"Yup." Marcus added in as he took some of the fried chicken. He wished he had an appetite, but whenever he was here he could barely bring himself to actually eat food.

Nancy poked around her food with her fork before she asked, "So, I noticed a For Sale sign out in your yard. Is that the neighbors', or..."

Marsha just looked right at her husband, "You wanna tell them?"
