Jonathan could barely breathe as he looked at all of the different coffins. He couldn't even imagine having Will in one of these because he still couldn't believe he was dead. And he was so thankful for Burgundy at this moment.
"It's made of soft wood with a crepe interior." The man looked over at Jonathan, who had a blank expression. So he glanced at Burgundy, "Uh, now, I don't know what your budget is, but over here, we have copper and bronze."
Burgundy wasn't sure what to say either. It wasn't as if she was related to Will. She was here as a friend and as moral support. She turned her head and caught sight of Marcus with Nancy, "Marcus?"
Jonathan looked over at them and then he cleared his throat, "Can you just give me a second?"
The man looked at the group, "Of course."
"Burgundy-" Marcus looked at his friend, "This is where you've been. You guys left me alone all day. Well... I did have Nancy but that is besides the point."
"You guys?" Burgundy questioned, "Mabel's not with you?"
"No, she never showed up together."
Nancy wished the two of them had continued talking because now it was just quiet and the atmosphere was awkward, "Your mom... uh, she said you'd be here. I-We uh..."
Marcus cleared his throat, "Could we talk for a minute?"
Jonathan nodded his head, "Yeah, I-I can talk."
The group soon found themselves out in the hall, sitting on chairs around each other. Burgundy didn't understand what was going on but she did look at the photo over Jonathan's shoulder.
Jonathan shrugged at the image, "It looks like it could be some kind of perspective distortion, but I wasn't using the wide angle. I don't know." He gave it back to Nancy, "It's weird."
"Are you sure you didn't see anything else out there?" Nancy just needed to know. She couldn't believe that Barb could just run off and she was certain that Marcus did not believe that Daphne had either.
Jonathan shook his head sadly, seeing how Marcus and Nancy truly wanted to hear something different from him. "No. And they were there one second and then, um, gone. I figured they bolted."
Nancy sank further down into her chair, "The cops think they ran away. But they don't know Barb."
"That's completely out of character for Daphne." Burgundy suddenly added, upset that the cops could even think that, "If she would ever leave, there is no way she wouldn't tell us."
Nancy looked down at her hands, "I went back to Steve's and I thought I saw something. Some weird man or I don't know what it was. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have come here today. I'm... I'm sorry."
Jonathan got up after he almost let Nancy just leave, "What did he look like?"
Nancy stopped and looked over at him, "What?"
