Pairing: No Pairing
Warnings: self-surgery angst
Summary: Sam and Dean look to you to save them no matter what, and you're going to do whatever it takes to do just that.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sam? Dean?" you call out in short gasps, the pain slowly slithering up your body in an attempt to numb you from the sensation in your leg.
You look over and see Sam's legs peeking out from behind a desk. He hasn't moved from that spot since he fell down, and you're concerned he's got more injuries than meet the eyes. You can't see any blood or injuries to his legs, so you hope he's just passed out from where the ghost tossed him across the room.
You turn your head and spot Dean across the room slumped up against a broken bookcase. Some of the books have fallen on top of his head, knocking him out cold. The wood from the shelves is cracked and splintered, some of them resting at his body, the others hanging off the case dangerously. The other spirit turned on him and slammed him against the bookcase before you had a chance to blast it with rock salt.
You, on the other hand, are the only one conscious, but if you don't take care of this gash in your leg soon, then you're going to end up just like them. Blood gushes from the claw marks that the third spirit gave to you, pooling onto the floor all around you. He slashed you so deeply that if you look really hard, you can see your bone.
If you don't do something soon, then you're going to pass out from blood loss, and you're pretty sure you don't want to be here when the three spirits come back.
This was a weird case because not one, not two, but three spirits teamed up to terrorize a town. One ghost is hard enough for three hunters sometimes, but three ghosts? You're lucky to only have a slashed leg at this point. It's up to you to get everyone out of this house and to safety, since the ghosts are trapped inside the house you're in. If you take one step outside, they can't harm you.
This house is massive, so you're not sure where they are banding together to come up with another plan of attack.
Three things you always carry on you when hunting are floss, a sewing needle, and a rag for cases just like these. This is going to hurt, which is why you place the rag into your mouth to silence the screams you know will come once you sew your skin back together. This is what you have to do if you want to survive.
The first poke was the most painful, and you toss your head back so hard that it bangs against the wall you're leaning against. The rag does a good job to silence your screams, so you continue. The second and third poke hurt like a bitch, but nothing like that initial poke. All the rest are numb since your body is shutting down to prevent you from feeling pain in the area. You won't have much longer if you keep this up, so you sew as quickly as possible until the wound is closed, and you can now try and stand up.
"Don't worry guys," you mutter as you spit out the soaked rag. "I'm going to get us out of here."
It'll be hard to lug two oversized men out of the house, but you have to do it. You owe Sam and Dean your life, and now it's your turn to do the saving.
