Alastor stood next to Zagen, in front of them was the body of Eros. He was stabbed to death, and not efficiently. It was obvious who did that didn't care that he was already dead, just wanted him to die in a gruesome way.

There was money scattered all around him, and a black bag on the ground nearby. Alastor kept his head low, he knew that bag. After all it was the one he had given Thaddeus.

"Does he have the tracker on him?" Zagen asked, his voice icy. Alastor knew Eros was rather close with Zagen, so he must've been upset about this all. "Uh, no. The tracker was in the bag, and he didn't take it with him." Alastor's said, his words becoming a mumble at the end.

"And how many times have I told you not to put the tracker in the bag?" Zagen growled, Alastor felt his head lower more than it already had. He could feel Zagens glare, so he couldn't bring himself to look up at him.

"Answer me." Zagen demanded. "A lot." Alastor mumbled. "Now Alastor, where will you put the tracker next time?" Zagen said, Alastor sighed silently. "Underneath their car." Alastor replied. He always forgot to get someone to put the tracker on the car. Often people wouldn't find the tracker inside the bag, and when they did it was already too late.

"You were sloppy. And now look what happened. Your cousin killed a family member, your actions have consequences. Don't let it happen again." Zagen said, Alastor nodded as Zagen walked away.

'Fucking Thaddeus. Of course he had to go and use my damn money, if he hadn't maybe I would've gotten in less trouble.' Alastor thought, his fist clenched. He had often thought about how he still thinks like a kid. Even though he was 24.

But he still looked like a kid next to Zagen, he was still taller than Alastor. And Alastor always looked depressed next to him. As much as he hated to admit it, Zagen was the only person who'd he let talk down to him.

'I mean I deserve it, don't I? I let this happen. If I had just tracked Thaddeus earlier I could've seen he was here." Alastor thought. This was how it usually happened, Zagen telling Alastor something and Alastor completely believing it.

Alastor walked over to the bag, taking the small tracking device from it and putting it in his pocket. He could always use it again. While Alastor was in the process of putting it away he suddenly jerked. There was a high pitched ringing, and it seemed no one else could hear it.

Alastor yelped, it was too loud. It felt like it was hurting him. Alastor clutched both of his ears, trying to figure out the source of the noise. He saw Zagen looking over and mouthed a 'help' to him.

Alastor folded over, his chest almost touching his legs. The ringing was just getting louder and louder, Alastor finally decided it was all or nothing. Alastor took off his hearing aid, throwing it onto the ground as he got back up.

The ringing immediately stopped, replaced with pure silence. Alastor was breathing heavily, he picked up his hearing aid as Zagen just watched him. Whether he was talking to him or not, Alastor didn't know.

He inspected it, looking over every piece. Nothing was wrong, so what happened? Alastor hesitantly put it back on, fixing the dials as he turned to Zagen. "What the hell happened?" He asked, little to no concern in his voice. He didn't really care about Alastor, but he needed him to be his heir.

"There was a high pitched ringing. I couldn't get it to stop." Alastor said, his ears hurt from the noise. Everything still sounded fuzzy, it seemed the sudden loud noise managed to damage his ears even more.

Zagen began talking to Alastor, he just nodded while zoning off. 'What had happened?' "Sorry, I have to go." Alastor said, walking off and outside. He had called an Uber earlier, he didn't like riding with Zagen. He only did when he had to.
